Impossibly High expectations...

I love how people find so many things wrong with these games and over look the things they did right. You have fun waiting for eternity for a perfect game to come out

Even if it were perfect, people would still complain. That just seems to be the attitude of the population at large any more. They have this sense of entitlement and when things aren't just how they want them, they go off on a tirade and make themselves out to look like idiots.

Constructive criticism and portraying that to the game devs is perfectly understandable, but unfortunately, most people who complain don't even know how to use proper grammar let alone get their opinions across without yelling and screaming through their keyboard.

Crysis 2 definitely has its problems, but damned if I'm not having a blast with it. I'm completely hooked on Crash Site.

Couldn't agree more. I am fast getting fed up with video game forums, they all seem to be full of spoiled kids who expect everything to be right first time and aren't prepared to put themselves out in the slightest.

Nothing more to say really, I am sure you will get loads of moaners on this thread who are probably posting while they are on hold to Trading Standards.

I for one am loving the game, I am level 21, I haven't played anywhere near as much as some people, but I have played a bit, yes there are frustrating moments and yes there are laggy moments, but that is to be expected as with pretty much every online game out there.

I agree every game has it's problems you can't expect perfection everytime. The thing is when you miss out on crucial ingredients such as picking a good host it let's the whole game down. So to say that people are just complaining for no reason is ridiculous. People have spent hard earned on this game and if people complain on these forums that's entirely up to them. If you bought something from a shop I.e a toaster for instance if it only cooked your bread half way you would send it back. Half of this game works half of it doesn't what's the difference.

I haven't seen anyone on here posting with impossibly high expectations. We just want Crysis 2 to be AT LEAST as good as games that are already out, which it fails to do.

IMO it's by far the best game out even with the flaws. Homefront was wayyyy worse and had half of the complaints that Crysis does. I believe Crysis get so many complaints because everyone sees that this game could have awesome potential and these little issues are setting it back ..where as a game like Homefront is a lost cause.

Crytek, please fix these issues and make this the best game to ever hit X360!

I personally love the game and think it is a step forward in gaming for consoles as was the new Medal of Honor. Both do very innovative things that I wish other developers would take a hint from. They aren't perfect, but they do offer something very different from the cookie cutter experiences that we currently have access to. They gave us a decent length campaign and modes in mp that are fresh and new. Sure, there are patch issues. But overall, they are something that requires more than just point and shoot. Tactics, options, and the more I play, the more I appreciate the subtle nuances that most people don't seem to even recognize. Good on ya, Crytech.

See, that's the thing. The game works pretty damn well on my end. Now this means one of three things:

1. The problems some people are having are specific to them for some reason, while others are having an overall good experience with the game.

2. People are overly exaggerating the problems their encountering and are indeed asking for a bit much. Hardly any game releases now without problems that don't need addressing post release, especially games with robust online suites.

3. People that claim to be having a good experience with Crysis 2 just don't know what they're talking about and/or have lower standards of what is deemed to be a game that works well.

I've played enough games online to feel I have a pretty good grasp of what truly broken online gameplay is like. Could this be improved upon? Absolutely. I do see the game pick a bad host occasionally and it usually results in a pretty unplayable match (lag, what looks like drop of frame rate), but most of my games are good with minimal lag if any that's even noticeable.

Online in any game can always be better in some way, especially with a game like this where there's a lot going on, but it's very playable as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't be jumping on it every day after work if that weren't the case.

If I wasn't enjoying the game I wouldn't be a level 31 right now, I wouldn't have played through the campaign twice and I certainly wouldn't have bought it for both the PC and the 360. That being said it isn't too much to ask for a couple fixes and balances in order to make the game a more worthwhile experience. If anything I'd appreciate it if I didn't have to mute my receiver every single time a match ends because the music amplifies significantly and plays over other music in the menu.

Its not complaining: its trying to make sure that we are still playing the game three months from now by asking for fixes to issues. Crytek already has our money and gratitude for doing great things with Crysis 2. For us to continue to play it though there needs to be some changes that are not unreasonable in asking for.

...yeah. I agree with you on that. There are some legitimate complaints, especially with all of the bugs, but the game is still worth playing(my opinion). The thing that pisses me off the most is the illegitimate, retarded complaints that take away credibility from anyone who has a legitimate rant.

Yes this game could be better. However it is still a very very good game. The campaign is the 2nd best I have ever played (ME2 #1). I think this game is amazing. Sure there are some multiplayer issues, but it's still good, for me at least. I have been enjoying the game since I got it. I just wish more people felt the same as I. No matter what, people will always find something to complain about. Which is ridiculous.

I'm a pretty hardcoe gamer when it comes to online shooters and I invest a lot of time into them. Lots of COD, lots of Halo, Lots of Gears 2( after 6 patches of course ; ( ) and even Transformers WFC. I don't waist my time with games that are not fun or that are unplayable. So it wouldn't make any sense that I would have dumped 60+ hours into a game that is either of those things. My standards are set pretty high so I'm not sure where the confussion is coming from. Crysis 2, although no without faults, is a spectacular game and should not be condemned the way some people are going on about. Give it time and maybe you will get the answers you are looking for. Games pretty great from where I'm sitting.

How can you not see these people. Pretty much everyone who bashes this game is someone who expected an 100% perfectly flawless game.

If I spend £40 on a game, I expect to at least be upto release standard, not full of bugs in SP and horrendous lag in MP.

Great game, dont get me wrong, but could have used another 6 months in development and dedicated servers.

Hey I love this game too, and no game is perfect. I can't deny the fact that in the last 15 years of playing games I have never played a game plagued by so many bugs. If a complete list of glitches where produced it could easily fill a full forum page, no exaggeration just a decent estimate. Crytec should be imbarassed and probably deserve there forums to be filled with disgruntled customers. Why because we paid for a pruduct that was advertised to be a finished product.

IMO everyone is complaining because they had such a great time with the demo (at least I did). The Demo set a high standard, and to some people, the full game is not as good.

good point apollo. i am in that boat, feel slightly let down after a really fun patched beta. more maps, weapons, mods etc would be awesome...ehh not so fast. but alas, the game is "new" so heres to hoping things get ironed out. lots of potential when running smoothly.
