campaing has a random ending

wondering if anyone understood the ending because all i got was that the ceph were based all around the world

We dont know... They evolved in the oceans. But here somewhere else? Are they keepers left behind from another planet long ago. So their technology is not as advanced as the ones who left them behind long ago?

Did they really evolved in the ocean? if so, why did they go to sleep?
