New York isnt the biggest City in the world ( that would be Tokio-Yokohama with about 40 Million people) and the aliens sure dont have the same romantic feeling about NY as humans would do.
Downtown NY is also not a good strategic point for the military.
So the only more or less reasonable solution left would be that NY is the last major City that isnt destroyed yet. But even that lacks some sense. Why isnt New York evacuated earlier ? Why does the military still fight in NY despite that there is nothing left to fight for?

Maybe there is something they want in New York becouse those spire thingies are drilling down the earth or coming up maybe there is an alien hive or something and they destroyed the other cities just to find wathever their after.

That would be just too horrific to bear in mind. I mean, they're right under us? and more drills just pop out of no-where?

For all the people who are pondering about the alien reinforcements, and if we believe that they are infact coming from the aliens homeplanet, I think it's safe to assume that they might be capable of FTL travel in the form of Hyperdrive or Warp Drive to get here faster. Since, you know, if they are not, getting as far as 1.5, 2m light years would take thousands of years when taking relativity into account.

But on a sidenote though, am I the only one who's dying to know what happens after the first game? as in, after nomad, prophet and psycho go back to the island? Heard nothing about that yet.

We have been told that (some) of the unanswered q's will become clear as we delve into the new game, things will become a l'il bit clearer in that matter, so yea i wanno know just like u m8, ]#

I would like to see in online play the Nano suit 2 grab your enemy and throw your enemy far, like if there on a bridge you can grab your enemy and throw them off the bridge or where every he is at, also so the Nano suit 2 should dent more objects because it is an upgrade right from the frist suit.

I really think crytek can do better by adding invisibilty to some of the aliens......
the story was about aliens that" predate" man .....lol...silly story.. anyway if they are that old they shouldve also got to the point of making invisibilty technology.
