"...it is letting go."

Besides the obvius gold bars, is there anything else you should let go?
I made Dog/God let go of himself.
Sinclair decided to let Vera go, failed but thats another matter.
Dean Domino probably should let go of his dream for the treasure.

Any others? Anything deeper? Or am I overanolyzing?

I'm having trouble letting go of Dean and Christine. Dean tried to attack me so he's obviously dead, and Christine "found new meaning as the Sierra Madre's warden". Whut? I was hoping she'd come with me to New Vegas, but she just stays there tending to an empty casino that isn't even hers.

But on a serious note, there is stuff you're forced to "let go" throughout the DLC. Letting go of your free will, by being enslaved by Elijah (or letting go of your head if you don't obey). Letting go of your weapons and accepting to improvise with weaponry found on-site. Letting go of your usual means of healing by sleeping, stimpaks, etcetera. In short, throughout the DLC the Courier is forced to let go of his own life and surrender to Elijah's will, and in the end he/she will have to let go of the riches and just feeling satisfied with making it out of that death-trap alive.

Dog lets go of his inner conflict.
Dean lets go of his heist (doubtful about this one).
Christine lets go of his hunt for Elijah.
Sinclair let go of his love for Vera.
Courier is forced to let go of the treasure.
Elijah can't let go of his obsession for Sierra Madre, so it's his end.

All in all, awesome plot.

I wouldn't say Sinclair let go of his love for Vera, seen by the fact that he tried hard in the end to make the Vault a safe haven from what he distorted it to let Vera suffer for the rest of her life, but it still remained a deathtrap. I wouldn't say everything alluding to "letting go" is reflected as you might think. And I agree all in all the plot was very good. It could of been expanded but for whatever reasons wasn't. Also a nod towards more survivalist gameplay even if all the gameplay elements summed up weren't exactly the best set up, annoying even. Chris Avellone's right that it didn't measure up to a horror game but it was good. If anything it showcased good storytelling by Obsidian. I just hope they can expand on this in the next dlc while putting in place less...man can't think today. Well less busy work to both -Artificially extend the play time of the DLC- and aggravate. Puzzle or strategical elements are welcome though if its done well. Looking forward to the next wether we're taking a trip to New Canaan or seeing the storms of the Divide.

I wouldn't call it surrender, call it going along or just out right subterfuge, I'll smile and go along, but don't turn your back and don't trust me.(Elijah did). I knew with out a doubt I was going to kill Elijah, I just didn't expect to just walk away with all the gold. But I did!

Agreed, great plot and it may not be over. Sense I didn't come for the gold it was a nice payment for what I went through, I looked at it like having good Karma pay off.
I don't let go of free valuables I walked back to Novac carrying 1775lbs. My back is killing me but that will go away with some sleep.

I got two gold bars. One for a trophy of sorts the other to keep me filthy stinking rich!

Didn't have a high enough stealth or a stealthboy.

I liked the DLC for the most part. The story was great, but I was somewhat dissatisfied with Christine's decision to stay at the Sierra Madre. It just seemed kind of pointless to me. Dog/God's ending was good (I blended both personalities together), and I was happy to shoot Dean for double-crossing me, but I do think Christine should have left. Oh well. I picked up more information on this other courier.

I was dissapointed when
Spoiler
If you let Dean live, he says he decided to head towards Vegas
I figured you'd find him somewhere, atleast in Freeside. Depending on what you did with dog/god, they wander, was hoping to find him near Jacobstown or something. Christine? She probably made the best decision, just wish you could've turned off the broadcast. She stayed to keep people away, so that noone else would die over the casino.
