It's easy to be in awe of this game when you start playing. Online and offline. For the first 10 hours or so of online multi-player I was giddy like a little kid. Cloaking around everywhere...being careful with my energy, and enjoying the pace of the game. After getting to around level 15 I started getting annoyed. And I noticed some patterns that continue over and over. I noticed that whenever I got killed it was usually 1 of 2 things (not including the ridiculous lag that happens every other kill). I either got shot in the back, or immediately after I killed somebody.

I have noticed that I am really sick of looking for invisible people and just want to fight. So now I'm level 23 and have most of the stuff opened up. It really doesn't matter because most people use the same stuff anyways...and no matter what gun I open up, the feline or the scar are really the only guns that matter. I also have gotten really bored of moving 10 ft., waiting for energy, then moving 10 ft., waiting for energy etc. I mean, you really can't run or jump a lot if you want to be successful in this game...the pacing online especially in the big maps is nauseating. I'm really looking forward to getting to level 28 so I can play classic mode. I'm just not sure If I have it in me to get there. I've already finished the campaign on the hardest level and have most of the online cheevos...I just can't stand the online gameplay anymore. It's not that fun at all...looking for invisible people to shoot, and man...I don't think I've ever yelled at my t.v. in any other game quite like this.
I'm very close to trading this game in before it loses any more value.

I'm at 21 and really looking forward to classic. Sometimes it gets old getting murdered over and over again the same way. But I kinda learned not to care about how many deaths I have, but really enjoy my kills. I mean everyone running around in nano suits and special perks, its gonna happen, probably alot. When I get tired of it I go play bfbc2 for a day or two and start craving my armor again. This game isn't for everyone I guess

You need to use stealth enhance III so you can move more than 10ft with recharging, Unfortunately you have to grind 350 kills first before you can actually start having fun.

I'm getting fed up with the online as well. they need to adjust online stability and peer to peer networking for this game to really shine.....but until then its like a love hate relationship......you love the game but you hate it for how well it performs......

Yeah I agree that if they fixed connectivity, alot of problems would be fixed... I wish it had dedicated servers lol but anywho yea I don't have much problem killing stealthies =) just look for the distortion and boom.. they usually wont shoot you right off the bat, even if you both are looking at eachother like "whassup?!" lmao hes prolly like oh shhhiiitttt does he see me? =s and yeah cloak tracker helps a bit as well as P.alarm but I dont use em really... All in all the games still new... there hasnt been 8 crysis games on console as with call of poopy so they probably arent used to it.. and are learning as they go along.. yeah like 80% of their attention is focused on PC im sure but its not like theyre abandoning us consolers.. if its a super heavy overhaul of a patch/update, they have to do it with a DLC pack as there are limites to sizes they can just auto-update with.. I'd say to just keep the game.. hold off and im sure soon it will get tons better..

First off I'm not a newb or a kid man...If you go to my gamertag I have an 8 next to it (which means 8 years on XBOX Live)...and over 50,000 gamer points. Yeah, I know, I can't cash those in at the bank for cash but I can say that it means I have some experience with games and am not a newb.

The crux of my post is simple. This game looks awesome. Let's not look past that. And the controls are pretty much spot on (It would have been nice if any of these developers put the marker button on the back button like BFBC2, because pressing up, then X and aiming is ridiculous!) I wouldn't have written this topic If I didn't care about this game. I really want to like it. But my premise is simple. I don't want to sneak around with my back against the wall managing energy and cloaking all the time. It has simply just gotten old. All of the perks that people are talking about are all about seeing the invisible people. For the love of GOD. My point is that I'm just plain tired of the gimmick in this game. I have most of the perks open, and it doesn't change anything this game has to offer.

I'm afraid this game could have sold millions and millions. But you would be blind or deaf if you didn't read or watch anything said about the online game play on machinima, IGN, or any other top notch gaming site that backs up what I have written. And I really wanted to love this game. I never had a chance to play Crysis 1 which was highly regarded because I didn't have a machine that could run it at the time. Now that I have the chance...I've played it. And yes...I still keep beating my head against the wall because I just want to play classic mode. After level 23 I'm just not having any fun anymore...it's so monotonous and relentless. At this point I've lost patience to play the game strategically because all I want is EXP to get classic mode. The invisible people and the pace is now actually just not fun for me. I wanted to get some intellectual information from people to see if I was missing something. Something you fanboys have not been able to do. They just seem to try to talk down to people. Well maybe you're right. You guys are just awesome and we all svck. I doubt it. You keep coming back as jerks and elitist gamers without any substance to your arguments.

Yes I would still buy this game. But I am not a graphics whore. And that seems like it's the only reason to play it as time goes on. The single player I beat on the toughest difficulty only because I had to sneak through it. Wow...fun (sarcasm). And the online is monotonous at best after awhile and I guess I just don't have the patience for it. I will trudge on to level 28 in hopes that the level will be the holy grail. Then and only then will I be able to tell you how this game really plays. My only hope with this topic is that Crysis decides to open up Classic mode much earlier...I've had friends over that won't buy the game for this single reason.

With Stealth Enhance 3, Mobility Enhance 3, and a pistol for max mobility, I can sprint, fully cloaked, across any large map with a full bar without having to stop. On the medium maps, I can even leap over anything in the way. Add Nano Recharge 3 and it all comes back within 3 seconds.

You shouldn't complain just because the game refuses to hold your hand. All I do is run, jump, cloak and sprint, and I have a k/d and w/l of about 2.5 each. The majority of your complaints are nothing to with the game, but you not making the most of the mechanics.

Also, regarding critical and commercial acclaim, this has already sold a ton of copies, and it got huge praise from most reviews as far as I can tell. I have 4 friends playing this as they all love it. It isn't the best FPS by far, but it'll make a refreshing change from CoD/Battlefield until they release in the Autumn. By the way you hunger for classic mode though, it seems that's the style of game you want to play, and if so, then maybe you should go back to them?

This isn't that type of game and trying to play it that way wil only lead to you doing badly, which isn't the fault of the game, but you.

Don't troll him. He was using it as an example of how he isn't a new player or a young one, not as bigging himself up. As proof it's a good example, as not many 14 year olds would have an account for 8 years, and not many inexperienced players will have racked up 50,000GS.

Your gamerscore doesn't mean you're a good player, but it is a good determiner of how many games you've played and your general experience as a player.

I couldn't agree more with this forum. I am also trying to get to the classic mode because the game has potential. Why the developers thought being INVISIBLE for 90 percent of the game was a good idea is beyond me. MP could have been so much better. it is not fun when everyone on the map can't see each other. It is almost like a joke where the developer said lets see how many idiots we can get to play a game where no one can see each other.
