I was just thinking about the words by Prophet in some CryEngine 3 demo vid:

“You can’t fight new enemies with old weapons”

It's perceived that there will only be one Nanosuit 2 in Crysis 2 which could mean that the Nanosuit 2 is still possibly a prototype.

Old weapons only get discarded after being replaced by newer weapons, so the US Military must probably still have a number of Nanosuit 1 in service they have procured over the years? Even if the Nanosuit 1 may not be effective against this new alien menace, it surely isn't obsolete? Could we maybe see some US military forces still using the Nanosuit 1 in Crysis 2?

I dont want to insult you or anybody who cares about the story details for Crysis 1 and 2,
but i think its unecessary for the game what happened with the old nanosuits or what happened to Nomad,Psycho etc.
I think with this reboot there will only be a very few references to Crysis 1 maybe some known charackters but this wont be the focus of the C2 story. The whole storygap will be put into the comic and thats only because in C2 will be no space for that kinda backstory.

Prophet is in one of the trailers for the game isn't he? Certainly looks and sounds like him. Personally I think it would be a kick in the teeth for those coming from Crysis/Warhead to find that all the previous narrative has just been dropped so as not to alienate the console kiddies.
