What Can We Expect from the Multiplayer Demo?

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 3:32 pm

What maps are going to be on the demo, knowing that its a demo probably a couple but I am wondering if there all just going to be the same 2 as in the Multiplayer Test or if there will be others that where also included in the MP Demo Trailer like the 2 unannounced maps.

Also what modes can we expect?

When does the rank cap in the demo?

and also any information if there will only be the 5 default classes and not a customizable one too.

Also if there is no word yet, then what will you think we could expect out of the demo on Tuesday?

Please lets keep a clean discussion and keep to the topic.

Thank you.

Fun

I think there will be only one map, 2 games modes :"The demo itself will offer the Skyline map, as well as two game modes: Team Instant Action and Crash Site. The former presents a standard deathmatch mode, where players compete to kill as many on the opposing side as they can, gaining ranks and prestige along the way. The latter is a capture-and-hold game type, in which players attempt to secure an alien drop pod and then defend it from the opposing team"

I hope the demo comes out early in the morning (7.30 am gmt -6.00) , because if that doesn't happen I'll have to start to download the game at 7.00pm. I don't know if my 2Mb connection will be fast enough to finish the download before 8.00 pm and let me play at least 1 or 2 hours :(

I got a sick day for Tuesday. Plus my work hours are stalling so I work early and get off around noon. Guess What I will be playing all next week?

Also where did you get the quote from? A source or just a quote you made?

I think it will end in a couple of weeks. It might run to launch but will be gone after.

I think Skyline was previously known as Rooftop Gardens, at least, that's what people said.

Here's a sort of rundown of the level itself:

Mod Edit: Removed. Please don't post media/info from the 360 tech test.

I believe it's this level, but it may have been changed or altered.

Plenty of time afterwards for more demos. Glad they aren't keeping it too long.

Maybe after this multiplayer demo they will release a Single Player demo for ALL platforms. I'm really excited about both the single player and multiplayer!

Maybe its too open up for a Single Player Demo for all platforms around Febuary. Makes sense since 2 devs are working separately on two units of the game.

Hey why can't anyone post the beta test info/media considering that a demo will be out in 2 days?

Because it was a closed test, meaning information/media is not to be shared :) The 360 demo, however, can be talked about and information/media shared as it's not 'closed'.

Im expecting the 2 game modes that they have been showing, and probably one to three maps to play on, But from what I have seen so far on released images and videos there only seems to be one maybe two maps that are going to be in it.

I get that it was a closed test but why not allow it to be posted? The game comes out in just under 2 months, anything we see in there we will see soon anyways. Plus if we really want to find the content you can find it online.

If it's because of the fact that it wasn't a finished product at the time then that's understandable, but not a very good excuse.
