Are people bailing out on this game way before level 39?

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:36 am

I would have thought by now that the Pro game mode lobbies would begin to be filled out by now. I'm still only able to play 1 or 2 Team Instant Action Pro games a day. I've never been able to play any Pro objective games which I'm hungry to play. I would also love to play Extraction 1 life. I think Crytek thought more people would be playing multiplayer. All of the game issues must be really hurting sales and preventing people from continuing to play. I think the Pro modes match or exceed any COD hardcoe games. It's a shame. hardcoe COD players are a huge market to be tapped. When they bring out a new patch they should lower the level limit so that more people can play. The Pro mode takes this game to a whole other level which a lot of people would be hooked on if they had a chance to play it sooner. Also new DLC should come out soon after so that EA can reboot marketing and promoting this game and attracting new players. A successful Crysis 3 release will be dependent on a devoted Multiplayer base developing right now. Otherwise it will be a sales dud regardless of all the good reviews.

The game is still fairly new. Give it some time.

Level 40 almost level 41. I love this game, even with the bugs. It's so damn addicting.

I think I hit level 14 and quit. Way too boring. Why the hell can't I play every gamemode by level 20 is beyond me. It makes no sense. I'm tired of crash site because capture the relay is broken (was?), TDM is boring, and Free 4 all svcks. Great SP (minus all the bugs), but the MP needs some work. I'm wishing I used this money on something else, at least I won't buy Crytek again unless it hits the bargain bin.

If you are addicted to that, I assume aren't too experienced in the competitive FPS genre, because Crysis 2 is fast food.

I wonder what a 4 course meal is. I can take anybody in COD even the Pros. After Crysis COD is just desert.

Not all of us are pompous pricks :P

Just because the game doesn't live up to your standards, doesn't mean I should feel the same way.

I believe I am quite experienced with the competitive FPS genre haha.

And what's your issue with fast food?!

I understand, I'm a little bored with playing the same game types and would like to play others but as the OP said no-one plays the higher level game modes.

I think that if Crytek has statistics on who plays each game type they will eventually have to lower the requirements level's. It's common sense that if people can't play certain game types because they need to play 30+ hours first they will eventually have to do something about it.

Saying that the game is fairly new is not a real excuse in my opinion, how many weeks should a game be out before we can play certain game mode? This is a video game, designed for entertainment.

Casual and hardcoe gamers both lose for having high-requirements. Casual's leave because they can't play what they want when they want or they can't get too the high level's quick enough, thus the hardcoe players have a smaller pool of players to play with so they too can't get into them either.

Lose-Lose situation.

I'm 33 I think and still leveling, but slowly. I usually get around 2-4 reasonable games before I get dikeed with a terrible host... Today I stopped playing when the matchmaking system snagged a host that had 4 green bars and everyone else was at 1 red... Not only this but the game was so lagged out I managed to empty a Feline clip, and punch this guy in the head 3 times, only to watch him teleport about 2 meters to my right and die. Then I got jumped from god knows where...

I play it every so often, and alternate with Reach, I'm hoping there's going to be patches. I'm at level 25, which is good enough for me, 'cause I kind of svck. I really need to get used to Ironsights, because I keep overlooking the enemy in close quarters.

I kind of quitted (level 20 something). I partly blame myself, I burned 25 hours in the 2 360 demos. Now I find the leveling too slow (or the unlocks too far away)

I'm 24 on my first reboot. I love this game, like nickthomas said its addicting. I have played much in the past couple days because rl **** but I have been craving it like crazy. Its just so damn fun. I assume that the people that get bored with it and quit have no friends. Not in rl... but on xbox live that have this game... well maybe irl too. If you play with a full group this game is 100 times for fun. Get some friends on live that play even if you don't know them irl, just do it. It will be more fun for you... of course unless you just svck... I've seen that happen.
