All I can say is...Wow.

How disorganised and unprepared were you guys? I thought I'd try the demo before buying as Crysis 2 looked pretty good, installed it through steam and had no problems there. Started the game up and was asked to login..tried what I thought was correct but it wasn't accepted so I went to reset the password via the website.

I reset the password via the website...hmm..there's no username? Where is it? It was nowhere. I tried visiting a few pages like 'edit profile' and 'forums' and it said I wasn't signed in. However when clicking 'Login', it said I was already logged in. So here I have an account with supposedly no username, just my email address and no way of playing the game.

OK. I gave in and created a new login via the website (doing it via the game failed). So I logged in, where my email address was at the top, it now said 'Hi, dragunov1985'. Great, a username at last to login with!

So I started up the game, logged in and found it was multiplayer only. Fine. Went to check what servers were available and there were NONE. I thought it must be wrong, checked the filters and they were OK and I don't have a software firewall so it wasn't being blocked and the NAT status was moderate. Not terrible then. Still no servers.

So Crysis team, you have disappointed me in that you may have a great game somewhere...but people who want to give it a try can't get to it. Well done. It's ok, I will choose another game, but not from you.

The demo has been over for ages...

However, for one reason or another they haven't removed it from Steam yet.

Why would it be over? The game has only just come out...try before you buy. That's terrible if it's true.

It ended the 15th I believe it was...

It's was like an open (short) beta test... except they didn't do anything to fix any of the issues before launch.

That's ridiculous, a beta is a test product and a demo is the released version for people to try before buying! What a bunch of idiots.

Personally I think EA is to blame.

Crysis 2 release had already been pushed back 6 months and EA obviously didn't want another push-back, so they forced the release.

And here we are. With a broken game and more cheaters than I have ever seen in the 25 or so years I've been playing games.

This information is readily available both here, on the forums and in the news and on the official Crysis website (crysis.ea.com).

Many MP demos end prior to the retail release these days because they require maintenance/servers to keep running. Hosts also aren't going to continue providing demo servers when the retail is out because there'd be hardly any traffic to justify them.

Well i'm just telling you that you might have got some extra sales in if you kept it going, I decided not to buy because I couldn't try it.
