I keep coming on here to get tactics, etc and some threads are helpful. I will have to agree though, that alot of it isn't very useful. One thing that I have found strange in the sp is that you can't pick up the aliens weaponry. Any reason for that?

All of the alien weapons in Crysis 2 are part of the Ceph's own nanosuits. They can't be picked up because they are attached to the Aliens' battle suits. Who needs the Ceph's weapons when you got great squid killing weapons like the X-43 Mike?

Agreed! The weapons are pretty sweet. I guess I always think in terms of field stripping the enemy for extra weapons, ammo, etc.

I have the sinking feeling that, due to Crytek's complete silence, the MP community of the game is dying.

Not that I have issues finding games (it's finding games with decent hosts/hit registry that's hard), but I see less and less players above level 40. It seems to me like most of them hit 50 and shelve the game, which is likely what I will be doing. I've nearly hit 50 and put in my many hours of frustration towards a partially functioning game.

It is actually listed as #4 on the FPS list as being played right now. The source is http://www.gamespot.com

stab, its sad, but true. almost like they abandoned the community. the "problems" thread at the top of the forum has over 80 pages(yes some bs mixed in). would be nice to see fixes to those posts or at least acknowledgement so people do not quit playing.

It's true I perhaps see one or two, if that level 50's or prestige players. The only ones I see regularly are my Xbox friends.

I played this afternoon and the first two games had a host migrations, one failed, the other succeeded. Fed up of seeing them and perhaps the casual players just don't want to put up with it. Also fed up of going into a game halfway to see the Host beasting with twice as many kills as everyone else while they have 1 or 2 bars. It's really not enjoyable.

It can be so hard to kill the Host sometimes, even if you get the drop on them. Angers me to think that in his mind he thinks he's beast going 25-6 in I. Then next match when a decent Host is selected it's funny to see him go 14-18 or something lol always makes me happy

I think Blendassist made a joke the other day that perhaps they are not giving us any news because they have no intention of patching this and so are keeping silent to maximise sales and to keep the online active, as we will be continuing to play this in the hope it will one day get fixed. That is what I'm doing funnily enough.

I've got better things to do than play a broken game that causes nothing but frustration. After a while you have to either admit that you're a glutton for punishment, or stop playing it. I see no point in grinding up to Level 50 if there's more frustration than fun. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wasn't going to play the game until there was another patch. If the patch doesn't fix the main fun-inhibiting problems then I'm selling it. Life's too short to be playing broken games.

This game is the biggest joke of a next gen shooter I've ever played. Anyone here remember Halo 2? First game with matchmaking, one of the first truly innovative xbox live games, and hardly any glitches. Why do games seem to be descending in every way other than graphics? Why is the focus to make sure water looks super real, explosions display realistic particle effects, the lighting looks better than real life, etc.. when they can't even get net code, hit registration, and weapon balance right?

Because one subset of the gamer demographic won't play anything unless it has the best graphics in the world?

As for the net code, that's the cause of all the other issues you mention, because all those are results of lag. The problem is that this is (IIRC) the first CryEngine 3 game released, so there's going to be a lot more issues now because it's the first real world application of the engine and you can't predict every issue that might come up.

Plus the MP team is like 50 guys total. I'm not surprised it's taking them so long to make a patch, since maybe a handful of guys on that team are actually coders.
