My likes so far:
- Smaller maps means getting into the action quicker.
- Smaller team sizes means less spam and more focus on team play. Less lag is a positive offset too.
- The suit is so much better to use, it's quicker and can do more things at once.
- The ranking/RPG elements are great. I love stats and unlocks.
- I think vehicles detracted from the original game. Without them, the nanosuit is your vehicle and nothing is stronger. It's also nice not to have to hide in a bunker whilst a VTOL hovers outside, spamming anything that moves.
- I love hooning around the map, jumping up on walls, doing sprint->strength jumps, doing crazy deadly jumps across death pits to grab onto the opposing ledge in action hero fashion. Huge parkour feel to it is lots of fun :)

- Less players in team, less random action
- Killstreaks is fun
- Parkour is AWESOME
- Nanosuit is better to use
- No SCAR abuse
- SOUNDS
- Better designed maps, for sure.

P.S. Heh, topic isn't popular on forum... It's sad.

only nagtive so far..crysis wars is the best with Power Struggle

about C2:
No vehicles...no Power Struggle.... HUGE disappointment.
I AM really don't understand crytek with their decision to make super basic\poor multiplayer modes.

Crysis 2 is nothing compared to the original. Ask any original crysis player. No improvements (apart from the skid thing that is pretty cool). The Aim cursors are ridiculous. Everything is like COD now. No action at all. Seriously. And it is too easy.

What I like:

- The city environment
- Parkour, sliding, and jumping looks improved
- levelling and unlocks
- More weapons

Down to the bad:

- Nanosuit 2.0 should be renamed Nanosuit 0.5
- Crysis gameplay is much faster paced and intense
- prestiging, killstreaks, classes, are ripped straight from Cod
- 6on6 with no vehicle gameplay is a huge step down
- has suffered from consolitis

So, why do I think Crysis 2 is better?
I don't.

My likes:

-Parkour
-Scar isn't OP anymore
-Nanosuit 2.0 it way better to control then Nanosuit 1. And you can combine modes... Speed + Cloak yay!
-Wierd and unrealistic onehand grenadethrowing got removed and replaced with something that wasn't there since Half-Life: choosable Grenades!
-New York
-More then 2 modes
-Smaller teams for enhanced Teamplay and not loners
-Class system for not beeing running around the map looking for any weapon I could find
-Destruction and interactivity
-Better unlock system (coupon and take-what-you-like-system)

My dislikes:
-OP Melee
-wierd network issues

I'd imagine the singleplayer being harder than the original Crysis.

sorry for interrupting this topic but i can imagine throw grenade with one hand, if you will have some chest belt and grenades attached to in and this attachment will be on on split pin you can grab grenade with one hand and with some force dis-attach it with split pin and then throw it away all done with one hand...

but true, on nanosuit was not chest belt nor any similar thing for holding grenade :D

The first Crysis was way too Battlefield-ish and no one liked the absence of Team Instant Action, plus your Nanosuit was virtually nonexistent since you had vehicles and such.

This Crysis may be more on the Call of Duty side of FPS games, but look, at least it makes your Nanosuit the focus. Granted, BF is superior to COD in every way, but Crysis wasn't meant to be BF-like.

I blame these hate comments on console/PC fanboys. Learn to live with each other, peoples. :P

As for my own list:

Graphics are actually great on console, but I've seen better.
The COD style works, with some Halo in there.
Moves are, for the most part, amazing.
Nice selection of guns, though a larger number would be appreciated.
Console support=more players
AIR STOMP
A very awesome system to it all, like rank up, challenges, XP, dog-tag killstreaks (unique, so you can't camp and get a killstreak).

I agree more or less with Cry-Adam, but it's a shame if there are not going to be any game mode like power-struggle with vehicles.
It's okay with team instant action, but there should be any mode like power struggle, with bigger maps.

The new gameplay is nice, but it has been adapted and limited for the console. It's pretty obvious.
Some changes, like the new nanosuit functions, are really awesome. But the fact, for example, that you can't select "single shot" when you have an underbarrel attachment, is a glitch.
So many controls were mixed up because xbox gamepads have not so many buttons. Very well done anyway, but features like real time weapon customization was impossible to add.

I think that this game is going to be heavily modded. PC players will play an MP mod (made by the community), with no player limits, bigger maps, and real time customization like in the singleplayer. Maybe vehicles, too. The official MP of the game will only be played by console players.

I've played the demo, and "consolized" is the word to describe it. Anyway it's still a great game, and I'll probably buy it for PC, if there's modding support like in the last one.

Return to Crysis
