The DEVS think that if you can run crysis you can run crysis 2 at the same settings.

At Gamescon, the computers ran on gtx260s I believe. Which is only 2 fps faster than a 5770. Anyone who went to gamescon, how was the framerate?

GTX-480 should run it pretty well.

The specs will heavily depend on whether Crysis 2 will use Hardware Tessellation or not. If it does, expect something like a GTX 400 / 500 series or HD 5800 / 6900 series. If not, then probably expect something like an HD 5750 or GT 430 to get the job done. However, at this point all we can do is SPECulate, so I guess time will tell.
(PS: If they actually manage to get Displacement Maps / Hardware Tessellation support for PC, that would be freaking AWESOME!)
PPS: Which could explain why Crytek is waiting to release screen-shots for the PC. Keep your fingers crossed. :D

Do you think I can run this maxed in 1920x1200 in DX11 and get ~60fps?

My rig:

AMD Phenom II X6 1075T @ 3.6GHz (stock is 3.0 GHz)
Corsair 4GB DDR3-1600 RAM (stock is 1333)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 @ 800MHz (stock is 732 MHz)
Biostar TA890FXE Motherboard
Thermaltake Toughpower 775w Power Supply
Hitachi 7200RPM 500GB Hard Drive
Antec Twelve Hundred Full-Tower Case
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Thanks. :)

You should be able to get 60 fps with good settings as long as you don't go nuts on AA and post processing effects.

you shouldn't come across any problems, granted the shaders are optimized this time around

Well, I get 30fps maxing out Crysis Warhead completely with 16xAAQ and 16xAF on DX10 Enthusiast, but Crytek claims Crysis 2 is much more optimized, so I'm curious if I can get that doubled to sixty which is my preferred framerate.. If I can't get 60fps in games maxed out, then I turn down the settings until it does.

Hmm it'll probably depend on the level of tessellation that DX11 brings, but considering that you can run Warhead maxed at 30fps with 16xAA, I would guess that it wouldn't be a stretch to say that you could get 30+ fps with 4xAA and the settings turned up. I wonder if you will be able to change what kind of AA the renderer uses. There was a post on NeoGAF that said that the 360 version uses temporal AA (ick) as a cheap way to smooth edges.

My Laptop is running a core i7 720qm and a gt 330m. I wonder how well it'll run the demo :/ - my tower is 3000 miles away at home T_T. Guess I'll get to see how well optimized Crysis 2 is :-)

Core i7, 4gb ram, 64-bit OS and an Nvidia 2xx card (260, 280 and 295 mentioned) are recommended for the editor. Chances are in-game will be similar for higher settings.
