I'd like the ability to access some elements of the game from my iPhone.

Vehicle wise, I'd love to see things all the way from Mutant animal mounts and Pack Brahmin to Winnebago's and Trailer cars.

I would concur that I would like to see the "radio" system actually pick up radio messages from say MSN, Yahoo, google Chat....

cross media, like 2 people already suggested, is indeed a nice feature. dedicated internet radio stations ingame (see matrix online) and the option to load your own music in that same media player (see gta) is always a good bonus feature.

For real important features i would say:

-isometric-physiscs engine (i know that aint gonna happen but check out how nice Diablo3 looks!!!)
-opposing factions
-world based on f 1/2 so in california (or if you really have time and funds, the whole world)
-sewer systems in towns/industrial area's
-games timeline interweaved with original fallout canon (i want to be there when the vault dweller/chosen one roams the plains)
-and some more i cant think about right now... There can only be one Highlander!
