Any good "how to" sites to play better at C2

Post » Sun Mar 15, 2009 6:52 pm

I love the game play, except the lag. But I die at the drop of a hat. It always seems I'm out of power when an enemy arrives, and Im still learning the maps, I get lost..die...die...die...no fun

Does anyone know any good sites to get tips on being a better player? Good Youtube tutorials you have made/found?

Any tips for playing with lag, turning it into a plus (if it's possible)?

I had the same problem when I started playing this game, the only tip I can give you is: keep playing... you will probably learn how to manage the nanosuit abilities.

To be honest, the best advice I can give for this game is to keep moving. Mobility is the key. I find myself activating armor when I'm being shot at or when I'm coming out of stealth to shoot someone (this might be a nasty habit but comes in handy if they happen to see my silhouette). What ever you do, DO NOT RUN YOUR SUIT TO 0% ENERGY, if you do this, it takes 3 seconds before you'll start regaining any energy leaving you completely vulnerable.

As far as aiming goes, sorry to say that with the lag, it's pretty much spray and pray. Controlled bursts for medium to long distances but close range is pretty much a hose fest. That or rush in for the melee.

In order to master the mobility you really have to work on managing your suits abilities. As you level, modules will make this LOTS easier. Mobility Enhance and Stealth Enhance are two I would recommend for leveling before others, though Mobility Enhance is just a personal preference. Retriever is another good one. If you want to increase your awareness use Proximity Alarm, but I normally use Energy Transfer or even better Nano Recharge.

Energy Transfer is cool, especially when you max it out, but it still relies on you getting a kills. Second rank of Nano Recharge basically shortens the time you have to stop and recharge to maybe 2-3 seconds (as long as you don't run your suit down to 0).

That's about all the advice I can give.. It's not pro advice but I usually do okay. 1.69 K/D and growing.

Thanks for your tips.

Going into this cold is real real bad. One game I had bad lag, I got killed 13 times, I had no idea of the map, completely lost. I would follow other players, but I got wacked and the player I was following turned around and got the guy who got me (he went down in the kil cam) and I got zero xp. Least in BO I can get minimum xp to get better geared out.

I really like the game and want to make it work, but the lag, and the unfamiliarity of the maps, is killing me.

Thanks again for your tips
