I am desparately trying to find out if there is any way to play any of the Descent games on my PC which operates under the Windows Vista platform. Can I load a game in DOS (Descent II appears to be opperable in this platform from my understanding) and run it that way, or is it possible to play on line? I will never own a gasming system so this is my only venue.

Right-click the game icon and select Properties. Select Compatibility and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode", then select Win98.

I haven't run Descent on Vista personally, but Vista is actually pretty good about running older games (I have run Fallout 1/2 with minimal problems) when you use the compatibility settings.
