Failure of games that wana be more "real"

I saw a trend from age of conan to lets say regnum online or mortal online where games tend to be closer to reality but they svck alot.In Darkfall u cant trade with anyone fast way becouse u dont have auction houses or mails and because it is not like in reality so, all the nubs are ganked and they craft 1 week to get ganked when someone give them a tell to buy they mats. Only the real hardcoe old clans are successful and no new players friendly environment you can find there.. In age of conan they try to make fight movements like in reality and the fight to be more smooth and all they do was some fragmented way of combat that 500 k users quit the game in the first 3 months.In mortal online the devs come with the idea of people to be able to hear the chat like pm and even read lips and of course no way of trading so indeed most of people that craft will just svck and got ganked all the time,and to be more real like in real life they added thief's and is a really nice thing to see naked thief's in town with 200 skill on thief and rob every single person.Regnum online again ,want some real shit thing in that game and economy is equal with 0 because clans don't have banks/mails and of course auction houses are not real in a world of wizards and hunters that go invisible.So what what i am trying to say is that we don't need bullshit about a more reality game because all failed and as i know fallout 1 and 2 was not so real but at last plausible. Yup there is a curse with the realistic games, its good that they try it out... becouse they will soon realize that it is a failure to have total realism in games -.-' But I would lie if when saying that realism svck... you just have to.. use it at certain degrees.

One big concern is thievery in towns -.-' where they run around with nothing in their own inventory and just steal everything you got, so if anyone kills them they dont loose anything, realistic... sort of, but damn boring to loose everything you got so easily. Exploits like this can be destroyed by adding fullseeing guards = guards in towns that can see EVERYTHING (or atleast have a very high probability to see thievs in action)... and kills every thief AND remembers them, so they can kill them later on and to just make some really annoying (REALLY ANNOYING) questlines so thieves can gain the towns trust again.

Crafting... thats the main problem, beginners who wants to craft a bit so they can earn xp/money... BUT THEN comes the nice poeple who also wants money... and kills them... and takes everything, or just plane annoying people who likes to see other people suffer, thats no small problem and what i would think is the main reason some people stop playing all together. The only thing I can think of is making safeareas :/ areas in where you cannot pvp at all, if you do try and kill someone you will die... By some guards or something i dont know. I just feel that it is pretty important to create a safe area where you can be at all the time if you want to. The safe area could contain some basic things for crafting and it could contain some lesser quests and some areas where you can find molerats or something to kill. I think it's important to let noobs have a good place to start off in, without getting instakilled by pros AND to have a place where people can craft basic stuff in peace, but more important crafting materials can only be found in more dangerous areas. Also dont have one safearea, have some spread out, near towns or something, so it won't get overpopulated... thats only booring in a wasteland mmo -.-'

and those are just ideas on how to solve those things IF they where to exist in V13, but I would really like to see some kind of noobzone, a zone that you wont get very rich in but it will give you a good base to start on. Image

You can be a pro hardcoe super skilled crafter ,usually if u don't have a great ,huge and skillful clan you will svck the finger ,this hapend in almost all so call sandbox "almost real games" and are completely unfriendly for normal/casual/new/lone wulf kind of gamer.Trust me i was a real hell in darkfall,with no clan and all i was thing was exploit every stupid game rull, kill and loot in front of the guards ,loot crafters when they got 1 sec afk near protection towers ,steal monts when people unmounted ,wait hours for 2-3 people to grind , and then killed all and i got lik 20 mounts and toon of armor set/weapons , ive done all kind of tricks as a pk /griefer and kill in thousands of new positions but at some time that was boring and i quit after 1 month of playing.. I think the problem with most of these more realistic MMOs is that they are making a Simulator rather than a game. A flight simulator might be a whole lot more realistic but I'd prefer playing Starfox instead.

I'm completely against games being ultra-realistic as I feel that gameplay always ends up suffering because of it. I think realism should play second fiddle to the aspect of gaming. In fact, I'd prefer playing the game to be hassle-free.

What I what to be unrealistic:
1. Traveling~ In reality very repetitive, glacial change mile after mile. I'd like to see a fast travel of some sort~ right now I'm leaning toward the concept of an Instanced Travel Zones; when you elect to travel, you get thrown into a random instanced zone with players of an equitable level range. When you get to the end of the instance; you zone into your target destination.

2. Radioactive mutants!! In reality radiation causes cancer, burning, and organ failure. In V13 I'd like to see radiation cause crazy mutations.

Teleport ,resurrection,mutants,plasma weapons,mutant powers and many good ideas implemented in a real manner will let us just to look about the law of physics to be legit and nothing more ... Image
