Online game harassment

I played few of online games...and everywhere the same sh...

Lets start...Eve online after exiting safe zone...groups of ships wait for anything to blow up..no chance to do anything...because you can't leave safe zone...???
Dirt of Foline...20 people rush towards you naked to kill you and take your stuff...if you are unconscious they raqe you for 2 hours...if you die and respawn other savage online players are waiting for you there..to smash your skull...
There is a clan dedicated on extermination of all players on all online games, because they are something in their small heads...they always travel in groups...
Everyone has 10 endurance, 10 agility...and they are snipers that smoke you out critically with one shot or minigunners, as you can't keep an armor for 10 seconds because some nomad group will roll you over with their miniguns...whats the point
Entrances to the cities are besieged by online bandits...entrances to banks or any streets is dead zone...
In the shops...players in stealth mode are waiting to greet you with some bullets...I guess you can keep the shells...
You have to hide and travel like a rat...

So I wonder how will some normal players be protected...I know this is Fallout universe but if it will be anything from the above it's not fun..at least for me...
How will they protect some science or high intelligent character...
Me for example I would create the character medium all 6 SPECIAL similar to the real me...but so what is the point if all others would have 10 EN and 10 AG designed to kill anything that walks or crawls...that's why maybe i like the player as super mutant option...than I will also make a war machine...
Also I hate clans there is no point of joining one to survive and seed death to all others...no following quest or exploring or anything...just go to the most populated areas and bang bang...
At least in WOW they ask you nicely...do you wanna try me out...right go play with your mama...

Maybe this could be fixed by both players agreeing on killing each other...some command or button or something...??? some games have this but it usually works one way...so he kills you because you forgot to list him as enemy and you are unable to attack him... Its better to live 3 days as a Lion, then spend the rest of your life as a hyena!

So are you complaining that you dont want ganking in the game?

Not that I want to sound like an ass, but I think people who run around by themselves then complain about being ganked are just stupid. If you dont want to be ganked then be in a party. Im sorry but calling a game an MMO and spend 99% of the time by onces self isnt really much in the way of a multi player experince. But hey thats just me. Image

Well I see an MMO like a game full of real people instead of NPC...You can trade...talk...help...join some quest...be a mercenary...trader...doctor...scavenger or a guard...but as for ganking just kill others and loot...I didn't say I don't want ganking...because it's in every MMO...just wandering will there be any safe cities or some PvP areas...or a real Fallout environment where 20 clan members have level cap 80 and all others 1-5...and usually they take over the safe cities... Its better to live 3 days as a Lion, then spend the rest of your life as a hyena!

I think more of what Lord Marine is trying to point out is

Why play a MMO game that as soon as you walk out into the world, you are dead, killed or ganked.

Especially if you are wanting new players in the game to help keep it alive.

Nothing like getting someone excited about playing a MMO with friends and yet the first time they even attempt to leave the 'protected area' as even a group, they are wasted by other players.

What I would like to see (as mentioned by many in other threads) is a way that the game would keep track of Karma, player kills and negative reports of players.

As the more powerful the player becomes the more challenging the creatures/incidents become for that player. The more Players that a player has killed that has earned them negative karma, the more the (Good guys that can kick ass) NPC's come hunting him down.

Either something like that or have many 'moderators', 'demigods' that are more into having a fun and good game play watching. I really hate even more than the gankers (as you call them) is the mods who have the power and start abusing that power cause they just don't like something in the game.

I think that FOO, if it happens, should follow EVE's model, as it stands now (not how it stood at the beginning). You can successfully play that game in safer systems at all times. That's the beauty of such things as a player-driven market, freedom to do what you want. The reason you get 'ganked' going into unsafe zones is because they are.....unsafe. And what rewards await players who risk playing in unsafe space in EVE? Tons! And that's the point. If you are willing to risk a lot to head into the lawless regions, you should be awarded properly...if you survive (in EVE's case, you get 'own' your own section of space).

The same should apply to FOO. Make it so people who don't want to risk a whole lot can still enjoy the game in 'safer' areas, and let the people who are a little more hardcoe head into unsafe areas if they want. What is at the heart of it all...a player-driven economy. It HAS to be in there for it to work right.

For the pedobear that the thread starter is ,fallout will not be a sandbox game. As for your signature nub ...hyenas kill lions and they have much more succes at hunting ....

Too bad for all this games...because you see I'm an ex military...I know all the spots from one kill blow to sneaking in front of you in dark...real war is shit - where all your friends splatter around...
My point was too bad fallout isn't real..so I wonder how would 20 nerds beat me in live combat....but anyway go play in the army a little and you'll see what I'm talking about...kitty... Its better to live 3 days as a Lion, then spend the rest of your life as a hyena!

Griefers are generally people who cannot play the game with any skill or who have psychological problems compelling them to pick on people much weaker than they are to give themselves a false sense of power and superiority.

I've always been that guy who stands up against bullies, and I seem to enjoy doing that as much as they seem to enjoy bullying. I enjoy good PVP, where me and my oponent are evenly matched, they kill me sometimes, I kill them sometimes, and I believe in features that help to balance gameplay.

Barakus, I have no doubt that when the game starts, you will be the Cybernetic Scourge of the Wasteland. If you are as badass as you claim to be in the forums, I look forward to the many battles we will have.

flaming aside. I feel that having a lawless server would make the fallout mmo feel more like a fallout mmo why because it is lawless. If you want to be safe and not die then your best bet is to get to New California Republic and stay in the walls or never leave your vault. I think those are the safest places in the fallout universe and even then they have there evils inside the walls. I cant wait to make a slaver and kill NCR Ranger PCs. ^_^ Oh that is going to be glorious. :lol: Image
