I've "successfully" installed Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics on my Macbook using WINE, however when I try to launch the application it fails the CD check. I assume this is because the directories WINE creates have no knowledge of the mounted CD rom device.

Short of using some sort of no CD hack, which I really do not wish to do, is there anyway around this?

I'd prefer to play the game on my Macbook rather than my desktop PC because the macbook screen is so much smaller I figure the old-school graphics will be more tolerable.

I know I can use bootcamp and just install there but I just wanted to try this out.

Does anyone have any experience attempting this or getting it to work?
