We aren't hiring beta testers for PV13 at the moment (it's still a little too early), but when we do, we'll usually hire local testers for internal playtesting to start, then do a closed beta (Friends and Family, first), then do an open beta.

For the other projects, I'm not sure -- it's being handled on a project by project basis.

You should check out:

That's a good place to start looking.

I can't say anything at this time. Sorry.

I wish I could... But if wishes were horses, beggers would ride. (I think I stole that from an old Hulk comic book. ^_^)

It always amuses me to imagine some developer trying to get their mothers or girlfriends to play, if they're anything like mine it'd be a huge but comical task!! :D

anyone can become a QA tester because there arent really any requirements for it. You have to know games and have a general understanding of how they work(engine architecture, mapping, etc) in order to make it easier for you to know what can be broken.

Thats not how it works. You never get to test the games you want because most of the time you are assigned to projects randomly. Remember, every studio has more than one game in development and most of them are small projects.

See if there is a studio near you, and apply. Its as simple as that. So youre telling me FO3 is better than the first two? Okay i respect your opinion. Can we step outside for a sec?
