D4 Regular and Limited edition packages?

Post » Sun Apr 05, 2009 7:01 am

After seeing how Starcraft 2 has two different types of boxes it got me thinking about what i would like to see in other games. Most games now a days come in the Regular version that usually sales for 49.99 or something similar and then there's the Deluxe edition or the Limited Edition that has a bunch of extra goodies.

Personally, I would love to buy descent 4 with some extra cool stuff in it, Especially some ship models like the Pyro GX.

What type of things would YOU guys like to see in a deluxe/limited edition box??

I'd like a Starhawk, but whatever. Hellbender would be better, but that's from another game. :P If you are going to fight a war, do it efficiently, unremittingly, or don't do it at all--I'm not into ethics, I'm into efficiency.--Benjamin St. John "Descent" by Peter Telep

Hellbender's from Hellbender. ;) Starhawk was mentioned somewhere in level 13 by one of those data terminals. It's also in the objects list and in several mods. Too bad it wasn't used in game.

Hey gamesas, are any of the original Devs over there? Could they tell us stories on what Descent 3 could have been? Like "we were going to have the player face up against the Starhawks in an epic battle...." or "yes, the rocks above the Lv 15 boss were originally going to be able to be destroyed and lava will fall on it." I'm continuing the jack.

I can say for certain that D3 was going to be way more interactive than it is now. 100% more. I was listening to all of the ambient sound files and found some pretty awesome stuff. bonus discs with the first three games

Yea, I'll dig that...

...Fallouts?Chris I hope you guys still have the sources for all 3 games. I know karx11erx is converting Descent to run on modern machines so half your work is already there... Absolute Velocity svcks. It’s too slow.
