Reading that page it seems that George Miller is now deciding to go into the direction of making the movie into an Anime. But get this as stated from MTV's movie blog "He doesn’t want Max himself, Mel Gibson, anywhere near the project." Hmmm is there some personal issues we don't know about between Miller and Gibson?

A video game is said to be in the making as well and would be released prior to the movie of course. I'm not sure how this is going to fare with the fans though. I myself have very mixed feelings here. I remember Mad Max as Mel Gibson. There is just no way of taking that fact away. Its like saying Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't Terminator. It's blasphemous! Then again though I do enjoy a well written and a well animated Anime.

It seems though that "Fury Road" (The original title to Mad Max 4) was in production until 2003 when finances plummeted due to the Iraqi War. Yet the war didn't stop Miller from bringing out "Happy Feet". So what gives? Overall I feel that most of our memories are just that anymore of the famed Hero's we grew up to. Keep them in a jar somewhere and savor them forever. I personally over all ask WTF?!

What do you say? WTF OR FTW? Image
I told the Overseer of Vault 13 I'd give everything to save everyone, and so I did, I saved them all. Since then I've felt loneliness.

It has been a long time since I've created this post but I have some updates for those interested. Well lots of good news around. For one Mad Max : Fury Road is back in production and currently has a release date in 2012! The second bit of news and the best in my eyes is that it will be live action as its predecessors and will not be an anime.

Tom Hardy will be taking the role of Mad Max (originally portrayed be Mel Gibson). I must honestly say that George Miller so far made a good choice as Tom looks very much the part. The question is now though is how he will fit into the story? There is no hint to what the story is right now but my guess is it will be go back most likely between The Road Warrior and The Thunderdome. Reason for this is because of how young Max will look in the new movie and Thunderdome gives a glimpse of a Max who was weather torn from his adventures and coming age.

I know I originally stated that Mel Gibson should be Max for he is Max. So far as I have researched though, Mel Gibson has refused the part. For some reason or another Gibson and Miller are not on good terms. At least though a new adventure will be born and this shall bring about interest into the older movies which any post-apocalyptic fan should not go without!
