Wizardry

Does gamesas own the rights to Wizardry? If so, I would like to see it re-released. I think it would be cool on the DS which is seeing a resurgence in dungeon crawling games (Etrian Odyssey, The Dark Spire, Mazes of Fate, Orcs & Elves), but a PC re-release would be cool too.

No, gamesas doesn't own the rights to Wizardry. I'm not sure who does. It used to be/might still be Sir-Tech. Wizardry games are still being released in Japan, so that might be a place to keep looking.

From researching a little bit around the net I have found out that Sir-Tech no longer owns it as they went bankrupt in 1998. They passed developing of Wizardry 8 to a separate company all together ironically called SirTech Canada. It was completed in 2000 yet they never established a publisher and distributor for the game. Yet a company in Russia published it and Electronic Boutique sold a US version for awhile.

The official website for the game is no longer working and from what it looks like the doors have shut forever.

So my guess is unfortunately Wizardry is no more. Image
I told the Overseer of Vault 13 I'd give everything to save everyone, and so I did, I saved them all. Since then I've felt loneliness.

Hahaha! I can't believe somebody remembered that.

No, unfortunately, I had to move and couldn't take it with me at one point. I miss that thing. It was the best door jam I've ever had.

I personally miss the M4 (Sherman) tank missile shell that I used as a door jam. It was given to my father from my grandfather who brought it from WWII. My brother currently has it.

No one will ever know how great ammo is until it props open a door! :D Image
