aaw, thats bulls**t. Then I'm waiting to buy the games until I know for certain that they will end up in the right pockets
Bethesda don't the deserve the money, especially since they weren't even part of making the games!
So I'm saying this right here and now, that if gamesas wins and gets to keep the money from the old games, I'm going to buy all three. And if not... bethesda ain't getting anything from me.
I think the point of controversy in regards to the non MMO Fallout stuff was that gamesas released a retail product called "Fallout Trilogy" about a year ago IIRC. It was basically a disc that contained Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for those who wanted them but didn't get them digitally. According to Bethesda the term "trilogy" implied the three main series releases which included Fallout 3. Bethesda believes gamesas was using the success of Fallout 3 to sell a few more copies of their games, gamesas denies this of course.
That being said, I
think Bethesda only wanted money made from the "Trilogy" but I could be wrong. I'll do some more digging and see what comes up.
Edit: Well I was able to find this,

It turns out even the digital versions of Fallout are impacted by the suit as well. I can't find anything on gamesas having to give Bethesda the money they made from selling the games (maybe it was something I read early on when rumors of a lawsuit were trickling out) but they would have to pay for damages and legal fees which could be another way to say the same thing.
Edit 2: Legal issues could take years to resolve, I would recommend buying the games anyway. gamesas will see the money now, Bethesda might not even see it at all or if they do, who knows how big or little their share will be.
