Lets hope they dont mess this up

Lessons learned? Things not to do. Competition from big titles being released. Innovation to make this title worth the wait. Great title to work with, lots to go wrong. I like the series, would love to see an MMO done complementing the game. Going to be scary to watch it develop. :shock:

well, masthead is new, and you know how healthy gamesas has been, so it's pretty much a wildcard at this point. It could go in pretty much any direction, so it's probably best not to have any expectations whatsoever. Although a lot would have to line up to make it a great game. The very concept of it is fishy.

Yeah, they just have to take their time. And avoid rushing things. Aslong as this doesn't become
Korean grindan mmo X then it should be fine.

In the end, all we can do is wait, and hope!

I think it can be pulled off :twisted:

If it can be made, it will certainly be different from all the other Fallouts, though quite impressive.

I hope gamesas is a bit patient with the game, but at the same time, I know they're under scrutiny due to financial issues. Therefore, I'm not sure if it would be in their best interest to wait. They may want to consider releasing the game with limited content that's done exceptionally well. They can worry about adding more content later.

Let's.
Errr... now that I thought about it the topic's name is very depressing...
Unless I messing something up...
Let's = Let us
Lets is a form of let in 3rd person. I.E. he lets go of a ledge and falls. And there's the "let go of hope" common saying...

Never mind that. I agree, the whole concept sounds fishy. Come on, an MMO... based on Fallout... But perhaps I'm messing the smell of fish with something else... I mean It's wasteland, there's no fish in here... well maybe a whale, but no fish. ;)

And seriously the setting really fits "free-pvp & harsh penalty" type of game. Actually there's a project that added MP to F2 that strongly illustrates that. The project itself isn't to bright IMO but it is a good proof of concept.

My hopes rest upon you, gamesas. Fallout was great. Fallout 2 was better, though I missed my barter exploit. Brotherhood of Steel was garbage.

I've yet to play a good MMO with an alignment system as varied as Fallout. That's what I'm hoping for the most, playing as absolute evil and pure good on 2 different characters. Finding memes hidden away in random encounters, upgrading my guns, walking back and forth across the desert to build a car. You made some of the best games of my youth, don't let us down guys!
