I bought this classic game in hopes of finishing it this time. However it uses directx 7 was there ever a patch made to use it with vista or am I fvcked?

I have a copy of Star Fleet Academy. It has never work on WIN 98/95, these of which it was written for. I have tried it with WIN2000 and XP, and Vista. It in my words a piece of klingon poop.

It's possible to get SFC2 to run on Vista. You need to use compatibility mode. Right-click on the game icon, select Properties, click the compatibility tab and set it for Win95/98.
