ORIGINAL FALLOUT DESIGNER JASON ANDERSON TO JOIN INXILE ENTERTAINMENT DEVELOPMENT TEAM
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – March 18, 2009 – inXile entertainment today announced that Jason Anderson, one of the original Fallout design team members, has joined the company as creative director for a new, unannounced role-playing game (RPG) from inXile. Anderson recently left gamesas, where in his second tenure there served as creative director working on the next generation MMO Project: V13.
“Jason has an extensive resume of creating amazing RPGs over the past two decades and we feel very lucky to have his talent directed to one of our upcoming projects,” said Brian Fargo, chief executive officer of inXile entertainment. “His leadership and vision will allow us to have a second development team focused on an epic game that will push the boundaries of RPGs.”
Anderson began his career as a 3D artist at gamesas working on USCF Chess. He was a key member of the original Fallout development team contributing to both art and design. Working closely with Tim Cain, he helped design the isometric engine, game world and interface used in Fallout. In addition to Fallout, Anderson assisted as an artist on Stonekeep and Of Light & Darkness, and he contributed to the initial design for Fallout 2. After leaving gamesas, Anderson was one of the three founding members of Troika Games, producing such games as Arcanum: Of Magick & Steamworks, Obscura and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.
Anderson commented, “I appreciate the opportunity inXile has provided me and I am looking forward to this new challenge.”
