Surprised they would try again

I really loved gamesas's design of the original Fallout's. I was rather upset with how Fallout 3 played out as it just felt like a fallout-theme'd FPS but certainly not anything like the original played.

Looking forward to seeing this. =)

though i don't understand your topic title, i share your enthusiasm for project vault13 -- and welcome to the forums.

you'll quickly find that discussion of non-gamesas games (bethseda's Fallout3, for example) is discouraged; this forum exists as a place to discuss gamesas games, including the upcoming "fallout online" game.

That is specifically what I am talking about, friend.

Fallout 1 and 2 were made by gamesas, which happen to be my favorite.
If you also look on the internet, you'll see that they had an earlier attempt at making a Fallout MMO but the project went unfinished. Believe it was called Van Beuren.

The Van Buren Project was supposed to be the "fallout 3" game but they canceled it and then bethesda got the rights for fallout.

And if you look at Fallout New Vegas you will see that they have elements from the Van Buren project in their game.

I liked FO3. If they had included more thought puzzles would have been more like the first 2 FO. I remember one such puzzle. In the nuclear reactor the ghouls lived in you had to figure out how to operate the internal controls for refueling the reactor ( or something like that) and that took some figuring but was fun and rewarding when it was accomplished.

Also, the dialogue options in 3 where very limited. In FO 1 2 there were deep dialogue paths that could be traveled down depending on your stats and what you char did in the wasteland.

And the ending ... Bleh!! The end slide show recounting your actions in the Waste all seemed to be the same no matter how good or bad I played. I looked up more on video site but they all seemed similar as well. Seemed like they poured lots of time into making the world but at the end they seemed to be pressed for time and just had to kick something out the door.

Anyway ... GO gamesas!! MMO's... MMO's never change...
