Ah, darn.

I posted about this in the Other Classic gamesas Games section before seeing Brother None's post.

Edited:

I deleted the other post and am reposting here:

"And it pleases me to see this!

Spotted first over at NMA:

Congratulations, guys!

There is also a buzz about new people finding their way back through time to the original games these days, and I am glad to see that means more sales for gamesas. Have seen several people claiming to have changed their views on current games by discovering Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics.

Good going!"

That's pretty shocking really, especially considering that GOG has been going for awhile now and I'm sure tons of people purchased the trilogy well before these numbers were taken. Anyone know how the NPD is derived anyway?

It seems a damn shame Torment and the BG games arent available digitally, one would think they may sell just as well if not better. Think there is any chance of gamesas hashing out deals with atari or bioware to get them up on GOG? Does gamesas have any rights to BG whatsoever anymore?

Well, on the Bioware page, baldurs gate 1 and 2 are still fairly prominent on the site.

Now, the buy options assosiated to the website take you to other vendors...

What I think needs to be done is release "The Infinity Series Collection", a "Collection of the finest and award winning RPGs released featuring:
-Baldur's gate with tales of the sword coast xpac
-Icewind Dale with heart of winter and Trials of the Luremaster xpac
-Plancescape Torment
-Icewind Dale 2
-Baldur's Gate 2 with throne of bhaal expac
-The Music of adventure, featuring the soundtracks of all the games.

Comes on 4 DVDs (guess?) in a jewel case.
Spirial Bound Booklet with all the games instructions in it.
Fully patched and compatibility with Vista.
Some kind of collectible inside it... maybe a random 4" statue of Sarevok, namelessone, whatever.
Cloth map?
Tin case shaped like a tome.
Retail $89.99

So is IPLY finally going to start getting some revenue? This news sounds good, but ATVI, ERTS and such are up over 30% for the year IPLY is down 25%. IPLYs beta is 2.5 while ATVI is lower than 1 and ERTS is 1.5. The market has rallied, but IPLY is not living up to its 2.5 beta. It seems that prior to the trouble with Beth IPLY was up quite nicely, but has decline even lower due to Beth. It seems that IPLY's stock depends on the V13 and Beth letting them keep the IP.
