A few questions and my expectations/suggestions.

Hi,

First off, loved Fallout 3 as soon as I saw it I said to myself "this would be great online".

So my first question is, what content will you be adding to the Online game that will make me want to keep on subscribing. Will you add "Instances" ie: Abandoned subways, robot factories, super markets, schools and military bases that kind of content? If so how will you reward us for completion? I'm not asking for epic loot by anymeans. Will you be holding real-time events for players to participate in?

Alot of people do not want to quest to gain exp, but without questing the "level" grind could be just that, a grind. How will you balance this out to please all people. Personally I dont mind questing if the story line is imaginitive, interactive and engaging and not just "Go to point B kill X mutants and return to point A". Will you have a main story line and lots of little side lines?

Some like PvP and some do not, its a fact. In the real "post apocolyptic" world if you like the look of the other guys boots you would shoot him for them. However I can see that leading to being griefed by stronger players. Will you be implementing a pvp flag system where if you want to do world pvp then type a command eg: /pvp and you can engage other flagged players? or will there be arenas?

Reading some comments on these forums people don't want to "level" up it promotes speed leveling and ruins fun for some/most players. In other games players do not progress in levels however they progress in their selected character type, adding more skills or upgraded skills to the ones they have previously learnt. Lets say I want to be a medic and I choose skills at the start of the game that compliment a medic, such as inteligence. As I progress in the game instead of my character gaining the level, my Inteligence would go up in level. Obviously everyone can use a gun and fight in fallout so combat EXP is rewarded for combat actions and medic EXP is awarded for medic actions such as healing another team mate in combat.

What will crafting be like in game? Easy like WOW so new players are able to understand what to do or more complex like SW: Galaxies where you have to figure it out for yourself to be good at what you do. Don't make loot weapons be better than crafted but if you are gonna do that make them extremly rare.
Also make weapons and armor degrade like in fallout 3 giving traders and crafters an income and a use! Will traders and crafters have bigger storage slots and a mountable Brahmin with aditional carry space?
Give us LOTS of choice in outfits we want to wear LOTS! I don't want to look like a clone of everyone else on the server. I would like to see player built towns/ settlements with your own personal house or room and crafters should be able to not just make weapons and armor but maybe furniture?

How will traders be able to advertise what they are selling? Bazzar terminals in NPC settlements and/or player towns?

Will NPC's be stood around in settlements doing nothing or will they be wandering around and look like they are part of the game.

Will NPC enemies be roaming the land or will they only be in intances/buildings? Will things like radroaches and scorpions just spawn or will there be a nest/hive they will spawn from untill destroyed? (limit the number of creatures that spawn) can't have a nest/hive camped indefinetley.

Will there be a Good and Evil system like Fallout 3 and will players be targeted by bountyhunters for being evil or murderers for being good.

Will there be a fast travel system or will players have to hike to other settlements? (I don't mind the hike)
Don't make fast travel to instances (if there are instances)

There are other questions I'd like to ask but can't think of them at this moment.
I want the game to be for advlts from 18+ and not for kids so I don't want to have my hand held whilst playing the game make it challenging for us make us come back for more make us persist with tough instances or roaming creatures make it fun too and rewarding but not game breaking or overpowered.

Oh there is one last thing. How will we do combat ? Will it be FPS/3rd persoon like FO 3 or like WOW and have skills on a skillbar.

Thanks for reading sorry for mistakes.

dont think so, but if you got a computer im 100% sure that you can play f1,f2 even if the computer is like 10 years old (since the games are even older than that >,>) ^^

im recommending you to get this one :) (link)

This kinda follows on the matter I will say below.

I want quests added that can actually influence the game. Like guard a caravan - if it arrives to the town safely that town will get a small market boost. Kill raiders, if they are killed... well they won't be able to do anything to the town. But both of those are like bigger quest that are time based. Then there should be normal quests as well, like deliver this package, kill some things and gather their pelts then deliver them to me (alternatively just buy them then give them to me).

I think there should be a flag system of some sort, because a free to kill anyone you want system without any real penalty isn't fun for the one getting killed :/ Could be that if you kill a member of a faction too long, that faction will automatically put a "NPC bounty" on your head (npc of that faction will kill you whenever they spot you and they will be good!).

Well the downside with exp system is that there is a point where you will not be able to do anything with your character after awhile :/ What I want is some sort of EVE skillsystem (yes I play EVE and I know it works really good!).

Like: you want to be a medic, sure you can just take up a medkit and start healing... but you wont really get any better and you'll be healing bad :P SO instead you buy the: BASIC BOOK OF MEDICINE. This book have 5 chapters. Each chapter will take longer time to read but the first ones always goes kinda fast, so lets say it takes 3 days to read totally, you just pick a book to read and it will automatically start counting down the time for the first chapter, you can turn off the game but your character will keep on reading (and if its unlogical for someone to read while running around, lets say they have a built in implant, like a mp3, in wich they can put in a digital book wich is then read for them insid their head :P).

When you have read the book you will be able to heal more hp, but you still svck at repairing broken limbs, so then you can get the book: BASIC BOOK OF SURGERY, this book requires you to have atleast BASIC BOOK OF MEDICINE 4 wich you know have, so you can read this book :P

I like this system because it will take time to master an area (maybe a year to be a full master of something, like a weapon or medicine or scouting) and it keeps alting away since it would just require you to start reading new stuff. Also one character/account can only be reading something, so you cant have like 3 characters on one account that are all reading up their skills. GO AWAY ALT CHARACTERS!

This might be too much alike EVE's skill system :/ don't know much about copywright and stuff :P

Will traders and crafters have bigger storage slots and a mountable Brahmin with aditional carry space?

mm, many different clothes is fun :D (unless you are in some sort of faction army in which they have a clothing line, APB made a really good clothing system :P). And crafting can be affected by what I wrote earlier.

How will traders be able to advertise what they are selling? Bazaar terminals in NPC settlements and/or player towns?
It would be awesome if you could access terminals and see special offers from NPC traders OR if you are at a settlement and buy some goods the price of what you bought them for will be stored in the computer, then when you reach a new settlement you can compare prices with other NPC traders, like before you buy something you can tag them so the price saves AND with the skill system there could be a trading skills wich allows you to save more price data (a longer list of what you bought things for, lets say the basic list can save the price of the 10 most recent bought items.)

Will NPC's be stood around in settlements doing nothing or will they be wandering around and look like they are part of the game.
It would be nice if the had some wander around program, so they just dont stand there... all the time... staring into oblivion... and have some NPC caravans and other patrols wander the wasteland at specific points, but make them really strong ^^ so people cant just ambush and kill them with ease :P

Will NPC enemies be roaming the land or will they only be in intances/buildings? Will things like radroaches and scorpions just spawn or will there be a nest/hive they will spawn from untill destroyed? (limit the number of creatures that spawn) can't have a nest/hive camped indefinetley.

I think there should be both a instance system and normal wander around system.

Like many quests will be instanced but there should definitely be normal enemies roaming around and in some cases there should be hives/nests/bases that are quest bound, but you will have to be many while doing it since it will probably be very hard and it would be very fun if those bigger quests could affect the game somehow (as I said earlier, if a caravan safely arrives to a town the town will have a small marketboost, and if you destroy a hive of radscorpions the caravans will have a safer travel :P)

Will there be a Good and Evil system like Fallout 3 and will players be targeted by bountyhunters for being evil or murderers for being good.
Should be a karma system, if I join the enclave the BoS should hate me, or if I join the raiders the NCR should hate me.

Will there be a fast travel system or will players have to hike to other settlements? (I don't mind the hike)
Don't make fast travel to instances (if there are instances)
Could be.. eeh.. iunno, it all depends on how the mapsystem works, if its old fallout then hiking, hiking all the way around (also if it is the old fallout system then instances would work perfectly with the game)

I want the game to be for advlts from 18+ and not for kids so I don't want to have my hand held whilst playing the game make it challenging for us make us come back for more make us persist with tough instances or roaming creatures make it fun too and rewarding but not game breaking or overpowered.
I'd say make it 15 + so you can add gore to the game, not all -18 (I'm 21) year olds are idiots :P I don't want to strangle the audience too much. You can still make the game very challenging :) if they don't want to play it then don't let them :D (not many young people playing EVE and that ain't an easy game ^^)

Oh there is one last thing. How will we do combat ? Will it be FPS/3rd persoon like FO 3 or like WOW and have skills on a skillbar.
nothing about this have been announced yet, you could check out earthrise since gamesas and earthrise devs have teamed up.a Image

Some interesting ideas there :)

I too played EVE, and have also played a ton of other MMO's, If I was too write down all of the good things from every single game I've played it would probably be the best game in the world (Carlsberg) lol.

In my opinion Star wars Galaxies had everything right. Eve was very good too, however I did'nt like getting my battle crusier obliterated after spending alot of money for it (I never looked for any trouble but it always found me)
I've played WoW for a long time now and I'm not a kid I'm 29 played it for maybe 4 years on and off. I did not mind their questing system too much and I think WoW have nailed instances. No other game comes close to their instances.
I recently played Fallen earth...now...this game has masses of potential but they made it FPS MMO RPG and the combat blows! crafting is fine and done in real time and quite intricate. However questing in this game bored me soooo much I could'nt find it in me to log in and I stopped playing.

I still play Guild wars (all add ons) I think they have a great game apart from being too linear although guild wars 2 is set to be free roam like WoW but better graphics.

My point is that gamesas will have some great ideas (they gave us fallout)!!! but they can learn from other games and make an amazing one! I'm backing you guys all the way.
