Recently I've installed a Windows 7 and - so far, so good. Except for one tiny detail. Fallout 2 is working weird. After a short time of playing, the mouse cursor gets stuck on the top or bottom of the screen. It happens randomly, but constantly every time i launch it. Anyone got any idea what to do? I already applied all the available patches to the game but still - nothing changed.

Are your mouse drivers up to date? Are you playing the "regular" version or one you got from Good old Games?

About the user name - yeah, I know, but I couldn't come up with anything better

So the Fallout copy I got is the original one from 1997 I also installed the restoration project and the unofficial Killap's patch. However, before applying the extras, it worked exatly the same The drivers are from last week I suppose... Any ideas?

Try to play the game in compatibility mode?

Right click the .exe
Click Properties
Click the "Compatibility" tab

Under the settings panel just try different OS's and see if the problem still exists.

I already tried the compability mode. It must be something else.

I'm pretty much out of ideas at this point and it doesn't look like anyone else has any either. But I'll keep looking and see if I can find something. Been a while since I booted up Fallout 2 but I don't recall this happening to me.

Edit: Are you emulating Windows using a program like VM Ware?
