Hello all.
Sorry, I am a newby at this. I played the old descent game years ago and loved it. Now I have freespace and i have some issues trying to play it.
The biggest issue is that once I start the game at the select pilot screen My cursor stalls for lengthy periods and then moves for a half second and then stalls again... Any thoughts? I have managed to get to the first tsraining mission but the same thing happens in the game itself. Audio does not stall only the video and cursor.

GeForce 8500 GT (1GB)
SB Live 5.1
MS wirelss Desktop Elite Mouse and KB

I have installed all three CD's and the FS21X-12.exe patch

Any suggdestions are greatly appreciated always.

Click on the shortcut, click on properties, and open the game directly by clicking on its file and not the installer.

I have this problem with FS1 but this method seems to get me past it. Hope thats a bit of help. "This is the GTVA Colossus. Fighters, stand clear of hostile warships. All batteries, fire at will!"
