Just got a copy of Silent Threat and installed it, but now I cannot get freespace to start up at all (every time I click on the file to open it nothing happens). I never have this problem without Silent threat installed (freespace worked perfectly) . The Freespace game i have is 1.04 and can't install the 1.06 patch because it needs an internet connection with will not work on that computer.

Anyone able to help me out here? If so thanks.

This may be coming a little late ... but you can try to download and install Freespace Open. First run the regular game's launcher, then the FSOpen launcher. That's at least how I got FS2 Open to work. The open versions give you stuff like hires textures and models, better lighting, effects and higher screen res.
