Registered x2 and still didn't get the mail

Post » Sun Jun 07, 2009 5:54 am

Hi,

I have registered to the FO online site few weeks ago as well as registered to the forums here.
Alas, still I haven't received yet the mail update that some sites are reporting recently.
Any idea why?

Thanks! Image

You know, it's entirely possible we weren't selected for the beta.

I've applied for tons of betas, but I've been in maybe 5 in the last decade...

I would reregister. With the issues on the site at it's announcement, the database might not have added you properly. While you won't get the last email notification due to it already having been sent out, it should add you and you should get the next one.

In theory. Otherwise it's a spam filter issue. Image

No beta testers have been selected yet.

If you're still having problems, add:

harold
at
bonsai
dot
fallout-on-line
dot
com

to your contacts list. All newsletters will come from that address.

People who register now receive the latest newsletter within 30-60 minutes. If you don't get it, check your spam folder.

Make sure you are entering the proper email address. About 2% of all emails we are sending are being rejected for having an improper address.

I too registered a good bit ago with nothing as of yet. I have redid it about 3 times with no luck so far. I registered again today but with Harold...... added to my contacts list. Hopefully it works and the AT&T blacklist doesn't strike again. If I don't receive the newsletter in a few hours I will try an alternate email addy and see if that works. Will update my post with further info once I have it :)

***Update*** July 20th, 2010

Never received it again. I used an alternate email (@live.com) and I received the email within 3 minutes. I would guess then that AT&T has also blacklisted that mail server. So a heads up for anyone using any at&t email (there are several different domains) get a hotmail email as I can verify those work properly. Hope this may help others.

They dont accept all users, its first. Second is - try to add the domain IN SAFE/TRUST list on your spam filter. Image

Now I know why it was not showing up in my gmail even after others have received it through gmail before me. signed up and got it instantly via another account.

The blacklisting issue means even fewer people will receive it next time unless the mail server is changed or major mail providers are contacted as a heads up to remove the blacklisting.

This would mean that many a person marked it as spam in several different mail apps before it became spam or the sheer number of recipients at the same time eventually flagged it as spam and not a legit contact from gamesas.

Either way, hoping for some Beta action soon. The wait for FOOL has almost paralleled the wait for Duke Nukem forever which last I heard had about 10 hrs in playtime for its perfectionist creator  .
