I don't think funding is the problem, the Caen brothers and I assume the board of directors as well have bee really good with getting investments and such for projects (going by the frontpage). I don't think time or commitments are the issue either, finding a developer and market conditions are usually a motivating factor.
We as gamers and fans don't need to do anything at this point other than wait, gamesas has expressed interest in the past to do a sequel.
At the same time, the company will leverage its portfolio of gaming properties by creating sequels to some of its most successful games, including Earthworm Jim, Dark Alliance, Descent, and MDK.
