Forum Look

Post » Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:56 pm

I'm not sure if you guys are willing to change the forum a tad?

The look of it is okay right now but posts could be easier to read, what ive noticed in certian communities that thrive is clean, easy to read threads.

The width of the forums seems a bit limited, say the width of the forums was 100% or 90% of monitor width that would be good.

Just a little thought, i do some web developing myself but nothing ever big so you dont have to listen to me. :P

You can change the theme via Board Preferences in your User Control Panel. The other theme doesn't have the same width restriction, IIRC.

The other theme isn't working well, at least for me (and my firefox) I can't post or make topics with it. Planet Fallout

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to say, that when I am logged in and want to visit the frontpage (http://www.gamesas.com), I get this:

Code: Select all
Smarty error: unable to read resource: "de_index.tpl"

Don't know if this is the right place for it now, but since there are already some bug reports in here.. ;) Image

I'm not getting that error. What browser/OS are you using, please?

I am using Ubuntu/ Linux and Firefox 3.1. :)

In my virtual Windows 2k machine with Firefox it seems to work, but I am logged out as soon as I visit the frontpage. Image

Lexx,
Did you set your language to German when you registered?

Great! Thanks for helping us find that. I'm keeping a list of issues for us to iron out.

One issue, when I click the link I get in my email for threads I posted in.

At first it told me to login, "okay that kinda makes sense".

Then after the other page loaded, I click a new email link and it states I must login. Even after I close that tab and re-click the link to the thread.

It does it for the next link too.

After that, I stayed logged in when i clicked the links. I dunno why.

Do you have the "log me in automatically" check box checked?

Yes, in fact it just happened again. When I clicked on the link for this thread it asked me to login, but before I did. I click on two other links and they had me logged in already Vault Dweller #0024

Any chances for a dark forum theme for those who spend most of the night in front of the screen? A nice, dark lay with bright font would be perfect... and more healthy for eyes :) Image

Hola everybody.

It would be nice to have some kind of off-topic or general talking subforum, don't you think? I would like to start a "guess the game" thread. People could have some trolling and flooding too, etc. :?

Added The gamesas Bar as the off-topic forum.

I deactivated the other theme for the time being, since it wasn't working right. I've put a request in for a theme with a dark background and bright text. No ETA.
