Our Forums

These are our forums. We need to protect them and keep the place clutter and crap free. Today some guy came in here under the name of "lanlan" posting under the guise of stories to cover for these power leveling and gold farming websites. He wrote something like 8 entries. I e-mailed the moderator "Chris" and told him about it and it was swiftly delt with.

We owe it to ourselves and these forums to help police them of spam. I personally don't want to see this forum suffer the same fate as the SOE Champions forums where the unwanted spam caused the forums to be completely wiped. A lot of valuable infomation was lost due to the incident and a lot of users quit coming around.

I'm not talking about people who spam or post too much, more like these people who setup fake accounts just so they can peddle goods, services, or their opinions. Nor should we be trying to rat out each other over squabbles.

This is a great community of people who really dig gamesas and their amazing games. We have a rare second chance where a company has risen from death and is rallying again. Let's take care of it. Image

I've been doing a little vigilante work on the DA forums. Most times I log on there's someone advertising WoW or some such thing. Such posts are to be swatted with all the vigour and enthusiasm of swatting the weird high-pitched goblins at the start of DA2! If you click the little white triangle with the red exclamation point that will report the post.

I scour the forums daily, delete the spam and ban the spammers. It's probably best if you don't respond to the spam posts, since I try to delete those responses as well (just to keep the threads clean of junk.)

Thanks for this thread. I completely agree with the sentiment.
