BG Narration

Post » Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:01 am

So, after leaving my ps3 collecting dust due to the lack of offline co-op hack and slash games, we started a new BGDA game. I have to tell ya, you guys did an amazing job on that game. Years gone by it still holds up to any of the new stuff released. One thing I noticed was the narration in the opening of the act. I never realized how much it adds to the story line and interest in the game. If ever another game as this is released, you should add this into more of the game to keep it fresh for players.

Just to clear things up for me, is the narrator for DA the same guy who read the chapter intros in the BG computer games? It certainly sounds like him and it would be kinda cool if it was. 'Rest assured the world will know that Hapdazar Doomwing was a man of his word.' -Kharne, DAII

According to IMDB, John H. Mayer was the narrator in baldurs gate dark alliance 1, and in Baldurs gate:Throne of Baal. It doesnt mention that he was the narrator for the other games, but i thought the baludrs gate 1 and 2 narrators sounded the same.

I love the narration at the beginning. It reminds me of a "Dungeon Master" describing the area during a session. I personally thought that it should have been like that at the start of every chapter. That would have been awesome. Image

The DA games are nothing like the PC Baldur's Gate games...but I am sure you realize that.....they are though, the best console hack n slash games out there.
