Post » Sun Jul 05, 2009 7:41 pm

I know, I'm not the only one to have started a thread about this: Why not bring fallout 1 and 2 to the psp..?
is it even possible to run smoothly or possible at all?
i'd definitely be willing to pay for fallout for the psp

We only have the rights to release the original games. We can't port them to another platform. But it's a great idea, you should suggest it to Bethesda.

I'd pay $15-20 for iPad versions of FO1/FO2. ^_^

We were bored at work today, so we tried playing Fallout through DOSPad on one of our dev machines. Surprisingly enough it kinda runs, but way too slow.

I assume we could possibly create a native iPad port of the game, at least if the original sourcecode and all other projectfiles were still available.

You would have to talk to Bethesda about that. As far as I know, we no longer have the original source code, makefiles, etc... In any case, we don't have the rights to release the source.

This could end in a real scavenger hunt, the first google hit for "fallout source code" reveals that others tried pretty desperate things before:
