What i want in fallout onlien

Post » Thu Jul 09, 2009 8:10 pm

I want warm weather so that you can see how painful it is to walk around the Wasteland and great sunsets.
In Fallout 3, it was very cloudy so it did not look painfully like in Fallout 1 and 2.
And I want it to be brutal like 10 raiders beat down a child and you come and save Him.
And sick music NOT beautiful like in fallout 3.

P.S. will the Stonekeep come to pc or just Wii?

well the warmth is seen on people, in f3 you never saw anyone sitting and just gasping in the warm sun and no one was sweating... Also the way you run/walk/stand shows how hot it is, it isn't just the sun that shows us the weather, if no one responds correctly to it, it just won't be shown as frikkin hot :P

hope you understand what i mean :P Image

Being able to choose between regular humans or mutated, like ghouls.

i think that in this regard Fallout 3 wasnt so bad, wasteland its only sounds nice and it works perfectly when you got few designed areas like in FO1/2 but in open world environment that would have been extremely boring...

which is probably why they added the swamp and city areas etc...

I hope they have varying weather conditions, rain, snow, heat, all the seasons really. Would be cool. Then they can throw in events...like during the summer there is a drought in one town, you can help them or you can steal water from their caravan...depending on how you are. Image

This would be a snazzy idea, but you'd need to make it so that it requires around 50 - 100 players to help the town. Otherwise one person would do it and the rest of us would be non the wiser. Whereas with 100 odd people working together to save a soon to be thirsty town it might form some nice bonds and give a unique MMO experience. Of course there will be the noob that decides to nick the water instead of passing it down the row of snaking players leading from a radioactive water source to the now parched town, but screw him this is why PvP was invented - and should be included.

BEing able to join up in groups , or possibly joining factions so you can choose to become a brotherhood of steel/ enclave or whateva

I like the idea of a group of raiders running for me being real people too

ability to join settlements and then raid / attack other settlements

Vehicles should be avalable in some kind of way

Lots and lots of CPU badguys to help mix everything up =)

They are prob already at these Cnt w8!

I doubt we would be allowed into the Enclave and not get killed by the people living in settlements, unless the Enclave becomes a major military might for the Wasteland and forgetting their idea of all people born in the Wasteland being a mutant.

The factions also gave me an idea: It may seem kind of rip-offy of EVE, but what if you had a designated faction? IE You choose to be a Ghoul Scientist, you would be in the... umm... G.B.H, the Ghoul Biology House? And prehaps being a Scientist, you get good perks (IE you took a serum you made and you can become a Deathclaw for 1 minute / whatever,) and bad perks (IE Since you spend so much time in the darkness, your Charisma has decreased by 3 because of that awful tan.) You are being served by Nymus powered by black boyshorts with black lace, a pink bow, and pink ribbon and a hot pink and black lace, totally frilly.

well no one should be able to join the enclave nor brotherhood too early, perhaps to be enclave, you need to join slavers or some raider group first, earn bad karma points enough to be considered and as brotherhood, you need to do alot of good deeds, join rangers or whatever group they would associate with.

This would mean its not easy to join one of the many groups in the game and if you just wanted to spy or steal some stuff, its really worthless, as you could just as well buy some regular stuff, as their equipment, while higher tech is not that far ahead.

much like the power armor bits, you could in San francisco buy power armor, only a bit better is the brotherhood or did they only have an enchanced combat armor, dont remember and the enclave with 2 versions a bit better then the normal power armor. So no real advantage to join unless you mean it.

Once you have joined enclave or brotherhood, you will never be able to join the other side!

I don't know if joining the rangers would get you into the brotherhood since BoS and NCR are/was in war:

Some time after 2242 the war with the New California Republic was announced.

I do not think that they would want enemies or former enemies inside their base. Image

Forgive me for my noobiness... but wasn't the BoS a major RnD house for the NCR? I dunno if they broke off and joined some other group... I do remember that they had bunkers in NCR... They had but 2242 is when fallout 2 ended, so the war broke out after fallout 2. So we never really saw any hostility between the two factions. Image

I would like to have immense exploration possibilities - not endless ones, as the world will always has a limit, but - if I intend to start walking now (with one bottle of water, as stupid I am) - it would take weeks in RL time, to cross the world, maybe months with random encounters (or 10 minutes, if I venture into something that is out of my league).

Housing of some sort, not that I will build a shack in the middle of nowhere, but an ability to claim this cave as mine, I would be able to 'rez' (rez in virtual worlds means to create or to make an object appear) various objects, eg. dragging them from inventory - and simply have a chair and a table or whatever - that would make me a camp of sorts.

I would like indirect content creation, as in a texture upload/addon for my own clothings or banners, for player created factions or personally even. (maybe as 512*512/256*256 png or tga with alpha layers & 4 color options)

Other than that, nice to see alot of fans as myself, nice to be here.

hmm there's a lot of things ide like to see. one idea i had was with factions like the brotherhood or enclave. what would be interesting if the leader of the factions was a dev or at least employee of gamesas. the idea behind this is that one that person would decide who joins the faction not to unlike a guild run by a gm. the other advantage of this would be if they wanted to conduct large events with the factions, or just set small groups out on missions against other factions you would have a real person that could give "quests" on the fly instead of the normal canned quests.

the point behind this idea is that i was thinking of what an mmo is. an mmo is effectively a virtual amusemant park. the game company creates a fantasy world for you to enjoy and throws in things to do. now the real world amusemant parks wouldn't be able to operate the way the virtual ones have bin. imagine if disneyland decided they didn't need park employees and just opened there doors to the public and said have at it. people would have some fun for a bit buts its not a good plan. well mmos have basically bin doing this for years. i don't think ive actually seen any gm or dev involved ever. they get em going have the quests and dungeons up than let the customer/players have at it. imagine what it would be like to instead of having to go to bots every time for missions you could have a real person that is representing a particular powerful figure say this is what were going to do today.

now having said that i kind of would like to see 1st person shooter style mechanics. push button cool downs are painfully slow=(.

ide like a very interactive world. be able to open windows pick up stuff lying around that sort of thing. i want a world that dosnt feel like just a cardboard cut out but a place that could be real.

ide like to see vehicle. flying vehicles would be cool but at the very least cars. i also think it would be cool to have a good system for repairing and maintaining them.

i want to see advlt content. if the content gets taken out just so kids can play i would be very disappointed.

@above, yes really, i can take it in swedish if he so wishes.

//sorry, just wanted to explain :P Image

I could be nice if all the servers were PvP servers. Then you could just kill the annoying noob who stole the water. Unless he have a whole raider guild with him, who only wants to steal the water from the dying town. Now that would make the "season quests" even more awesome...
