A different approach to making games?

First of all a new dark alliance style game is needed, obviously you dont have the rights for a new one, so make a new knight age game with orcs and goblins and all the other creatures. To make it a good game you need to use the dungeons and dragons, star wars or war craft approach, have multiple parts to the franchise, stories, games, perhaps animations/cartoons and other sources built upon layers and layers of games and sources that take it into everyday normal life, and goes beyond a game. allow for player interaction to help form the game and content, they are the ones buying it afterall, if thats what they want, thats what they want. you wouldnt need to worry about staying true to the game since it would be the first game in the series, and you can take it where ever you want. You just need a george lucas type person to make the system, the setting and how things go together. Games are more and more sequals and trilogies, with a solid concept you never need to worry about where to go with a game next look at starwars they have 20 or more games? many of questionable quality, but because of the name on the box it is guranteed to sell millions of copies reguardless of whats inside the box. The days of 1 hit videogames are coming to a close and will be harder and harder to sell.

The simple solution is to make your own ideas and franchises and not rent them from other people, if you dont have people like that then hire people that can make them ideas :D lucky for me them people are rare, so less competition for me.

so basically what gamesas should do is have a contest of sorts, to get a fully developed story world, filled with unique new creatures, races, with specialtys and info about them. have a back ground and history to the world, and make a franchise out of it. more and more games are all about the franchise (warcraft, star wars, dynasty warriors, and last but not least EA they have around 20 madden games, the sims, and a load of other sports games with annual releases) the other videogame studios are all making long term videogame projects and making sequal after sequal, some annually, this is where videogames are heading because it takes a short 1 game story and expands and expands upon it, you go in time, go in the past, play as other sides and they have an endless well of games to make from 1 franchise, and if it goes over well you keep making game after game and they sell reguardless of content.

have a reward system setup, you find a creative person or story writer you like, you hire them to do some jobs for you, maybe make them a creative consultant, that way they work for you and you keep all the profits.
