When did YOU emerge from the Vault?

Post » Tue Jul 14, 2009 6:46 am

Just asking peoples average ages. Maybe if everyone is an advlt we can convince gamesas that no teens or kids gonna buy this anyway so go all out on Fallout feel. MAX violence, MAX satire, MAX Awesome!

I'm 33! MMO's... MMO's never change...

they dont care, they have experts or buy this data from experts in any case our little community here underno circumstances reflects their potential user base (more like the hardcoe part of it) and would be considered as sampling error...

if you want some general data, here:

although if you think that at this point, you have any chance to persuade them to do anything, my 2 cent to you will be that its 99.99% that the target audience was decided long ago as part of their business plan, according to which they got all their loans/investments etc
so no change it now (even if they wanted too, which i doubt) nor would they disclose it at this stage before they'll have something to keep you interested, but my guess its will be 15+ in this uncertain times, inline with most MMORPG's out there.

then again i always might be wrong.

I'm 27 now; but when Fallout 1 was released I was ???15 years ago so 12???

I am not of the opinion that spending a year svcking oxygen makes a person more mature or a better MMO player. I have no problem playing with kids as long as they are talented players. As to the maturity factor children learn by example~ so if you feel that the people you play with are too immature, you may want to look at the example you are setting

im turning 26 tomorrow :D
as said, your age doesnt tell how mature you are. it's like car insurance, what makes me a better driver the day i turn 25? :p 24 and 364 days = bad driver, risk for everyone! 25 and 0 days = awesome, almost no risk of killing anyone! go take a beer :p In gaming terms... Life's a die, then you bich.

I came out of the "vaultgina" 22 years ago... Played Fallout 2 in 1998, then Fallout and later on I played Tactics, then I played some more Fallout 2, and more Fallout 2, and then I finished Fallout 3 and now I'm playing Fallout.

18. Oh god, I'm the youngest here.

I first played Fallout 2 when I was 9 or 10, instantly fell in love with the series. Been lovin' ever since.

Still, I would be heartbroken if FOOL's content was cut down to achieve a "teen" rating or something (I don't know how the ratings work in america) Violence and Sleaziness are two core elements of the Fallout Universe, not using them to their full extent would be a waste of potential.

actually having a hybrid system might be fun, choose to play an advlt (mature jokes/violence) or child (toned down to get a T rating, maybe include free child at heart perk and tone down the violence like say unconcious instead of death for NPCs) in the wastelands

myself i'm 28 but my brother lets his 12 year old play (fallout3)

I've been 21 for half a year now. I'm surprised to see a lot of older gamers on here.

The more, the merrier :D ImageCurrently playing - MDK2 (WiiWare)
gamesas games I'm waiting for - Descent (Wii) & Clayfighter (DSi)

not nessarly, i am sure there is a lot of FO3 fans here, who hate/never played FO1/2 (mostly placing in that same age group) in that regard you seem to be the exception.
