Please steer well clear of copying WoW

I would like people to comment on why you dont want this to be similar to WoW, and below I am going to state why I think it would be a dangerous mistake.

First of all its just not a good business decision to try and copy something that is virtually seen as "perfect" by most care bear players and some non care bear. Also, if you are going for that type of format you will again be competing with another giant that I'm afraid will be a copy of WoW and that is SWTOR. You may ask, "How do you know it is very similar to WoW"?. I was invited to be a beta tester 2 months ago and it is very similar to WoW at least in the starter areas. It just doesnt make financial sense to compete with those giants.

Second, I have a ton of experience all across the board in MMO's and I really think the new generation is going to be FPS "First person Shooter". It adds a new dimension of skill and difficulty and MOST IMPORTANTLY steers clear of WoW and SWTOR. There is a very large market out there looking for a large budget, well done MMO that is FPS and full loot. Darkfall has come up a bit short and still has a large following that is just waiting for either it to get its shit together or someone else to come in with a polished replacement like FALLOUT ONLINE. Not only would you pick up the majority of those players you would also have the "cult following" you would get with virtually any game with the Fallout name attached.

PLEASE seperate yourself from those two! Develop a intriquite crafting system that is difficult and complex. Use algorithms similar to SWG and MO. Make it a SANDBOX for free exploring and make the economy totally reliant on crafting, gathering, mining AND looting. Make the looting and gathering have an immense amount of variables. Make us rely on our eyes and ears to identify threats. MAKE IT REALISTIC! Dont have radar, but please do let us have a map...lol. Anyway thats all i have for now..i maay edit later.

No I havent actually...I recommend you try playing a game similar to Darkfall or Mortal online and see what you think of not having radar. I didnt think i would like it, much less the full loot but ive grown to love both and even prefer it. No map is a little overboard IMO though.
