Post » Tue Jul 28, 2009 11:01 pm

hey everyone i just wanted to get some feed back about this idea.

if you could would you want the enclave in this game AND what would you want to see and what would you have them do and do you want them to give quest and would u want t be able to unlock things like
-ride in a veritbird *sorry for bad spelling*
- be able to have your own squad
-be able to build/capture your own bases and outposts
-up grade those bases/outposts
-become a commander or office int their ranks-beable to control their troops and send them on raiding missions scouting missions and even have them as companions.

plz give some feed back i really want to read it.

thanks you
enclavecommander001

P.S. u are free to say what u want their is no one being judged..

ALL OF THIS AND MORE!!!!

No I just envisioned that they would be a faction that you can associate with if you are morally...flexible. You could get special missions, access to better gear, and maybe companions as you rise through the ranks. I mean this isn't command and conquer. You shouldn't send people out on missions.

On a tangent, getting buddy-buddy with BoS and being squeaky clean morally are not compatible. You will have to do some dirty work (like killing men for their laser rifles-its theft after all) to become best buds with BoS.

On another tangent, premium gear should require you to have good relations with a high tech group. It shouldn't merely be a function of a high level. All I want for Christmas is APA and a gauss rifle.

Um guys, in an MMO the Enclave (or any other NPC faction) isn't going to be your personal army for no good reason...

If you're implying in a similar vein to your Brotherhood comment that they're hiring criminals Hedley Lamarr style, I think they'd be more interested in typical military recruits. Why do games studios have to fight and die? War, war never changes : (

Definitely a squad but…than everyone would play as enclave and fight team vs team…I must agree with DoIhavetoo on this one…but it would be fun to steal a wertibird and fly around shooting people…I wonder if there will be something like a pilot skill from Fallout tactics… Image

Well, working up the ranks would work I think (with a few restrictions, explanation coming below), you work up the ranks to the point where you become a "real" enclave soldier (you get the power armor) and after that maybe you can even rise to a higher rank where you get access to special quests (that require you to form a party with other members.. because those missions are hard ..).

Maybe just make so there is a set number of people who can actually become that "real" enclave soldier, so there ain't 5000 people running around in APA, personally I wouldn't like that :/ also it would be a real feat to become one of those real soldiers.

Before the "real" enclave soldier there are just subclasses, scout, engineer, guardsman etc etc (have to go through ranks before becoming enclave soldier, or whatever that class could be called).

Also, maybe make so those who are at the top must be 100% loyal to the Enclave, not even do missions for other factions, if they do they are stripped of their rank. So you have both ups and down for wearing the best armor in the game :P

(I think same should go for BoS).

Well... its just me tossing ideas. Image

well i hope enclave will be for me they are as important part of fallout as BoS.
If enclave will be one of the factions in the game i think a rise in rank would work, as you from start choosing that faction are a enclave recruit, but if they are just one mob amongst any that might be harder

I really like the idea that Advanced Power Armor is a function of faction allegiance rather then level or wealth. I really don't want to see every end-game player running around in APA. If you wan't APA there should be penalties such as:

1) You have to maintain an extremely high rep with the Enclave. A consequence of this is that your armor degrades and only the Enclave has the tech to repair it for you because it's so advanced.

2) By allying with the Enclave you close off other allegiances and make those faction hostile to you. Allow the player to join the Enclave or the Brotherhood BUT NOT BOTH.

I just really don't want to see everyone going for Power armor because it's the end-all armor.

It depends on when this game is based really.
If it is based later on in the post apocalyptic area, I reckon that there should be small bands other than a whole army. Where as if it was just post apocalyptic, there would be a full force army.

I agree with many others when it comes to joining. When you first join, you start as the scout etc doing missions. You then have to work your way up until eventually, with a good reputation with and only with the Enclave, you get to become an actually officer.

As a brotherhood soldier...As i have been so in every fallout game (Oh yeah...Except FoT was inevitable.) I hate joo enclave!!

But in the second one, all you guys were supposed to be dead. So...Yeah.

UNLESS! We move out of california, and into another state, but the enclave wouldn't be as big as they were.
Brotherhood FTW! Image

I think Enclave Commander has the right idea.

The enclave consider themselves to be the US government so they are regional, they infest the entire continent (Canada and Mexico were annexed). Even if it is as subtle as a "shop keeper" who has "special jobs" and who pays in "special equipment" there should be cells everywhere. You could take a job from a mysterious stranger and then all future jobs come in by radio or in a bank safety deposit box. After a certain number of jobs you correspond directly with an Enclave captain.

You should also have different positions. Are you a thug, a spy, an agent, a solider? This would be determined by what kind of missions you take and how you complete them. The different positions would unlock different missions. Thugs may just steal massive amounts of energy weapons and slaughter BoS. Spys may make observations and report them. Agents may have to infiltrate a BoS base and upload a virus. Soliders may have to patrol in APA. All I want for Christmas is APA and a gauss rifle.

Wastelanders are joining Enclave? Frank Horrigan rolls in his grave right now :D

I think they should be npc and they should be the bad guys (not for the general story, but definatelly to the wasteland and the rest of the world). Just imagine a guy looting their corpses, putting on Enclave armor and then ending up dead because a caravan thought he was one of them. Just because they're npcs doesn't mean we wouldn't get the chance to pilot vertibirds and such things. I do expect a bunch of other vehicles but some of Enclave stuff should be available for finding and taking.

Also, in unofficial pnprpg version of Fallout, Enclave didn't just have an oil rig, they also had sattelites and one space station - that idea works for me, they are the most technically advanced fraction after all. I'd like to see some of that in FOOL even if it's just something that is written on a dusty holodisc somewhere. But of course that's just me wishing that FOOL continues where F2 left off, it all comes down to the setting.

In my story, im thinkin' of blowing up navarro... Plus, wasn't the oil rig destroyed in the main story?

Either way, your enclave booties are out of california. Unless you guys decide to band together from each state and try to regain california...Hmm, that would actually be pretty cool.

WOOHOO more targets that move!

All in seriousness, i wouldn't be suprised if you guys had other guys operating in other states. But i think cali' is lost foreva'! Image

I like all those Ideas, but I think that you should be able to get APA, just not untill a really high level, unless you piss off the enclave, in which case the level should go even higher, but you should have agents and soldiers attack you randomly, sort of like what has been done in NV, and at and after a certain level APA clad soldiers should come after you, and you should be able to repair the armor with a really high repair skill, and NO JURRY RIGGING that armor.

well so they lost cali soo they are every where prob have even bigger bases inland i mean oil gid and navarro where some wat big and as i said before they are everywhere it said that when mexico and canada where annexed they moved in and who nows they could have a medium sized base or a huge bases under ground and above!!!!!!!!!

ENCLAVE FTW                       enclavecommander001

personally i think Enclave should come in as a major faction that you can join, if your a race like a "Pure human", or if your a ghoul, mutant, etc. likewise every race will have its own faction, and for ideas i suppose vertibird should be brought back, along with Power armor, plasma weaponry, and even an eyebot here and there
