Well if anythings going to help outline the fallout universe its books and i'm not talking about some prewar junk that you stick in a shelf to look smart i'm talking real readable books and now that i'm on this topic i say journals would be great to like a player could type to their hearts content they die or place the journal somewhere and another character can come and pick it up and read it I believe it would help to expand the lore and history of the fallout universe what do you think?

you got my vote that is a great idea id prefer a journal to a pip any day and the ability to edit it at will (owner only) is pure genius provided its removable from a living pcs inventory , that will allow for some mischeif too EAGLES MAY FLY HIGH, BUT WEASLES DONT GET svckED INTO JET ENGINES

No, he's suggesting a game mechanic. It's an alright idea in and of itself.

But while we're on the subject, A Canticle for Leibowitz. I put the 'Skill' in 'Kill.'
Wait, what?

I get it now. So you could see where i've been, what I've doen, so on?
But if I don't keep a journal, you're lost, in the dark, no clue what I've been up to... So you can't steal the supplies I stoceked up in case my primary character gets whacked....

Woot! I love that series. Currently waiting for #21 to come in the mail.

Holmzy, I'd second that suggestion. I enjoyed reading the readable books in ES: Oblivion. I know that's a different game and company, but they had the right idea. Image

I'm just hoping this gets a second look and would love to see it make it into the game and I can tell I'm not the only one

id rather not read an entire book when playing a game though,i liked how they had it in fallout 1 and 2. you pick up a book and right click on it and it says you read it and got a small boost to one of your stats. Image

Coming soon to the apocalypse near you; the Journals of the Barely Literate. Why do games studios have to fight and die? War, war never changes : (
