I'm a bit wary.

Personally I think it would be interesting to have a Fallout MMO to play on but 'Masthead Studios' recent dissapointment with their Earthrise game has given me some doubts. :?

Hopefully they would have realised their mistakes with Earthrise and actually make up for it by making FOOL quite good but I am not so sure. The idea is sound though, the Fallout franchise is very popular, well known and hugly diverse so they may pull it off. Just mabye

Come to think of it, they have to. Because if they get it wrong the most of Fallout fans are likely gonna be at their throats, but at least they have gamesas to help them out.

I'm still wary about this arangement though, what are your thoughts? I'm gonna to eat you up and be singing that 'Happy Tummy' song.

I think that is quite a rude comment to make, it takes a lot of experience, knowledge, and passion to develop a game and I'm sure Masthead did the best they could, you know they can only use what they have to work with. Every games development company does the best they can and I'm sure we will see something unbelievable!

I respect your opinion though and I would never think about disrespecting it but maybe you should look past the graphics and game play and think about the hard work that Masthead went had to go through to develop their game. Please don't be offended by anything shown above, I'm only stating my opinion, I mean no harm by any comments, replies and topic that I post in or about.

I didn't intend to be offensive and I understand that they made a lot of effot into it, I actually feel a bit sorry for them quite frankly. They put a lot of time and effort into this game and its sad that if hasn't had the desired effect. Personally I like the concept of the gameplay Earthrise has and would like to see that in FOOL, its just a shame that it wasn't up to spec.

Once again, sorry if I have offended anyone. I'm gonna to eat you up and be singing that 'Happy Tummy' song.

gamesas is developing the game, Masthead is only providing development help IIRC.

Haven't played Earthrise so I can't really comment on the game but the engine tech seems cool.

Don't apologize you didn't offend anybody you just gave your two cents ;) I haven't played the game Earth rise either but I've heard some good things about it, I remember I signed up for the Beta but didn't quite get to try it, so fingers crossed for this one  Don't worry Zlatchi, you only gave your opinion. gamesas have a last chance not to be cursed and forgotten by fans. All or nothing.
And I worry too. Excuse my bad English... I am a Russian bear, it's hard to type with claws.

Much love to this comment, although Bethesda Softworks own the license to Fallout I still see gamesas's logo on the case in my head. :) Please don't be offended by anything shown above, I'm only stating my opinion, I mean no harm by any comments, replies and topic that I post in or about.

I hope to God that what the OP is saying is just a rumor... My computer couldn't handle Earthrise graphics, and I'm not missing out on FOOL. Image

then upgrade your pc,it wouldnt take much money to build a gaming rig. it cost me a little over 700 dollars to build a computer from scratch. if your pc covers some of the system reqs then you only need to upgrade the parts that dont. i personally only need to upgrade my video card. Image

He's right, it only cost me £200 for my new graphics card. However, a bit of advice when upgrading, make sure the power supply fan and graphics card fan don't face each other. The machine gets hot quick and the noise is terrible.

I wonder what sort of graphics the finished FOOL product will make? I'm gonna to eat you up and be singing that 'Happy Tummy' song.

since they're using the earthrise engine you can probably expect the graphics and the system reqs to be close to what earthrise has listed under their technical support section. Image

I don't exactly have $300+ to upgrade my computer... Maybe I'll start saving, I've got 'till 2014 before the official release, haha. Image

Not a fact. Level of detail may be higher, textures may be larger, shader effects may be more detailed. So the requirements may rise. On the other hand, the engine may be optimized a bit til that time. Excuse my bad English... I am a Russian bear, it's hard to type with claws.

why would they raise the reqs? raising the reqs means a smaller player base b/c not everyone and afford a super awesome gaming rig. Image
