Anyways, been a long time fan of Fallout ever since I played the first iteration. Never got to play Wasteland though. Fallout 2 was great and Fallout Tactics was great in my eyes too. So It was nice to know that gamesas was down but wasn't out and is moving to make a comeback. PV13 just may be that comeback vehicle.
Now, about the concept art. Firstly I found them all interesting to look at, and that is a great start. Also being a developing artist myself, I understand what concept art truly is, so I guess I can more or less understand what you were all going for in these early designs. Concept Art always starts out very crude in most cases and then moves on to something alot more refined as you begin to know where you want to go. Now, after seeing the concepts shown, I more or less felt the same way some others felt in that they were not giving me that Fallout feel personally. They seem to work more as visualizations for a post-apocalytpic style game instead of a Fallout game. I guess its the lack of key characteristics inherent to Fallout itself. Retro-futuristic visuals, Art Deco and Googie styled architecture, Signage that was part of the era, Clothing style, etc. Now, I wasn't expecting to see the fallout boy anywhere or vault signs, however some key ingredients were missing from them and I kinda felt that its something that shouldn't be missing for a Fallout game. That said, being early conceptual art, I can understand also that perhaps you wanted something different, fresh and new to then add to what is already there.
To Serg, I personally liked the Factory and Desert concept art. And the Survivor one, it looks like that guy perhaps belongs to a well established town with access to nice weaponry. Maybe hiding a shelter or bunker of sorts beneath the town he comes from if any.
