Serg,

looks very good. You've got a unique vision of Fallout that fits with the theme but seems darker and grittier to me. Really good stuff!!

The scene is very well done, a bit half-life/zombie feel to it, but rather cool. It's much better than the initial concept art Bethesda released for Fallout 3! Duck and Cover: The site for all your Fallout needs since 1998

Very nice picture but this is not Fallout. I know Fallout since 13 years and I'm a very big fan.

Your two last Concept Art was really beautiful but this one has nothing to do with Fallout, it looks like a mix between Resident Evil and Stalker.

I do not want to revive the debate, but please gamesas, you have lost Fallout, it like that. Stop trying to make money on your past glory and create something new, like before.

Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Plasnescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, it's you who created, you are starting from nothing and all these games have had a very great success and have become cult games. But today, you lost it all, all this creative genius, by dint of remain in the past of your success. Make again a real game, a game that share your genius, that share your motivations, a game that comes from yourself, a real " gamesas game ". I'm a administrator of The Vault, the Fallout Wiki, and a very big fan of the Fallout Universe, since 13 years =).

Pretty cool, almost got a Left 4 Dead vibe off of it.

Appreciate the feedback. One thing to keep in mind is that with Fallout 1 & 2, we were limited technically by our engine as to what we could display. Looking back almost everyone on the team thought that our palette choices were a little too limited. For V13, we're trying to have a little more differentiation between areas. That means using more colors than just shades of brown... ^_^

We'll be posting more concept art and we'd appreciate more feedback.

Thanks!

I see "Trumbull" sign. Is this where the new Fallout will take place?

I have compiled some of the concept arts from Serg and Natiq: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLIWyDxCAJM

Enjoy! Image

No problem my friend =). Sorry also for being a little harsh with your company, but I love Fallout and see in MMO, when I see what are WOW or Guild Wars for example, I'm scared. Anyway, given your past as I said, I think it will be nice. Good luck and count on me to give you my reviews, negative or positive. Well, to me it doesn't feel quite fallouty yet... The architecture on all the building for one is lacking alot of the common features in previous in fallout games... Like the strange faces, the 50's era design and edging. These are rounded? Is this some sort of post war industrial site?

For being 100s of years old the town / city seems to be in fair condition.

If anything, I would like to be Dwarfed by the structures and rubble... An ant in the environment. I think the wasteland cover art actually captures that feeling. Looking at this piece I'm not sure i feel that environmental menace... Partly for me, the environment could be just as dangerous as any of its inhabitants and there always was that layer of mystery or wonderment.\

Just my thoughts. :ugeek:

Do we know for certain when V13 takes place on the time line? I'd be very interested in some story bits closer the big event. If this is going to be like Fallout 3 and take place even farther in time but look somewhat preserved then yeah, I have to agree with you guys, not really enjoying that.

I think this looks great. I especially like the cables hanging from the trees (adds to the 'ruined industrial' feel) and the colours in the sky. Are there birds in Fallout?
For those who don't like the intact buildings, you should remember that not every city in the world was hit by bombs. Given the advancements made in civil engineering in the early 20th century, its hardly a stretch to see some still standing at this time. Note that while the architectural styles are (or should be) based around the 50s ideals, the technology in the fallout universe has definitely improved from todays world.
Its interesting seeing trees in fallout artwork too. I like the dark feeling I'm getting from them.

And yea, I saw the other piece of fallout art on NMA... I really don't like the pinks and purples. Care to explain why you are going with concepts along those lines? Is the NE somehow escaped the worst of the bombs? And really, did the limitations of the fallout engine prevent you from using these colors or was that a design choice?

Why must all MMOs explore a wider color palette of pinks, purples, etc... certainly some popular games have done so, like WoW and the new star wars MMO. But wasn't fallout always about the grim nature of the post apoc. world? The urban decay, the radioactive glow and that menacing ambiance surround you.

Unless of course this isn't fallout but V13, which might not be in the fallout story arch at all.
