**** Insane Idea for C3

Post » Tue Oct 12, 2010 4:04 pm

Yes, the titled specifically said 'insane' in it. The idea is a very ambitious and i'm a little skeptical about it myself, so tell me what you think. Here goes some crazy ****:

Ceph homeworld. While, say, exploring the underground owned by the squidy bastards, you find a portal of sorts. Unsure of what it is, you are svcked in. I can't describe what the planet would be like, likely with zero-G technology in some kind of underwater Atlantis. Nanosuit 2 has had enough time to decode and translate the alien language, and text can be scanned with your visor to reveal what it says.

But here is something interesting I wanted to portray. What if the world was in a bad state, with different political views, like we are today? Some civilians may be protesting against the war on Earth, saying we are a species to be respected. Then there is a dictator and his military who...

...you get my point. Aliens should react more-so in with cowardice then hostility, seeing as you are unknown to them. Then in your adventures, you may find a military training area with Earth-like gravity. So on and so-forth.

Ya, **** crazy idea. I don't like it either.

It is plausible, but unethical because the ceph have shown no evidence of having portal technology available to them. Also, prophet explained in the final cutscene that the ceph had been lying dormant on Earth in many places, not just lingshan and New York, it is the more rational option to deal with the remaining ceph in other regions of the world rather than to traverse their ecosystem.

The Ceph have black-hole technology, which could theoretically be used for travel.

Also, in the first Crysis, the Ceph sent a signal to a star in Galaxy M33 (...is that Andromeda?!)
