This morning, I get up, go to my computer, launch the game, update it, and activate it. Once I actually get to the game menu, I fill in the necessary information for logging into gamesas. The dialog closes and I think "Yay, now I can play". I was wrong.
I didn't even try playing multiplayer, as I had been forewarned of its issues. Instead I go straight to campaign. I watch the awesome intro, get all excited, and eventually reach the loading window. That's when the problem starts. The game crashes and I'm given an error message, "[PlayerProfiles] CGameContext::StartGame: No users logged in"
So then, not only am I disappointed, I'm a little hurt. Hoping to find a solution I restart the game, enter my information again, go through all the tabs and receive several different errors. For Multiplayer im given a "Cannot Connect To Multiplayer, Please Check Your Network and Try Again Later". For Profile, I enter any name and am given "There was an error creating profile. Please enter a different name and try again." I try all different difficulty levels, and have the same problem only this time it throws me a curve and adds a "No disk, please insert disk and try again." error.
I overlook the disk error, and try to focus on the network problem. I think to myself, "What did it tell me to do? Oh yeah, check network." So then I try two different things, restarting my modem, and disabling my firewall. Both of which fail to resolve any problems.
So given that my issue seems invulnerable to my efforts , I enlist the help of the forums and support. Which still turns out to have no solution. Of the posts I find involving a network issue, none seem to describe an issue when attempting to play campaign mode, or one when creating profiles.
So this is me giving up, swallowing my pride, and asking for direct help from anyone who can offer it. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Even if your not sure, you'll probably come up with a trial I haven't thought of.
Thanks,
JB
