I'm really liking the Single Player now that I'm further in

No DX11, and high textures aside, this game really is pretty further into the game.

Not to mention that I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, so the action is pretty insane. The batte against the Cell Soldiers and the Ceph(sp) is pretty cool, and I'm really digging the mayhem.

This game definately is console focussed compared to the rest but this we know, however, further in, once you get more into the different fighting scenarios and, and view some of the really cool cutscenes, you kind of start to forget about the console gameplay style and just enjoy the cool events happening in New York as the invasion continues.

I have a lot of problems with this game, mainly AI related with the Soldiers, and the severe texture downgrades, but for what it is for now, I'm glad I bought it, and I know it will only improve once Crytek, EA, and MS get over all the beuracratic nonsense and let the game show its full potential with the graphical upgrades, and bug fixes that it is due.

Good job Crytek on a cool game, although for the pc it feels very unfinished. Give it some polish and I will not complain anymore about the console based setup.

Admirable :)

I love this game too but the only thing that does annoy me is the fact that it was console orientated. :(

It should come to no surprise that the console was thought of heavily when this game was made, it's multiplatform. Bad Company 2 is the same way.

DICE is trying to experiment tho with Battlefield 3. They are going to first make it on PC, then dumb it down like crap and release it on consoles. This'll take them time. They'll probably be done with the PC version 3 months before actual release lol.

Crytek on the other hand with Crysis 2 made the game simultaneously on all platforms. It's how CryEngine 3 works. And for them, they had limitations forced on them.

Either way, this game is EPIC and I love it

Yeah, I still like the free-roaming sandbox gameplay of Crysis and Warhead more, but Crysis 2 as its own game is pretty cool. My wishlist for patches are:

- Fix the Soldier AI. There is no reason they should be as dumb as they are compared to the KPA in Crysis and Warhead.

- DX11 upgrade, Texture upgrade, Atmospheric Affects Upgrade, Destructible Environment upgrade.
A lot of us upgraded our pc's in anticipation for this game.

It would be in the best interests of Nvidia, and ATI/AMD to push these game companies to keep the highend graphics coming so that there continues to be a reason to buy their new cards. Not to mention that after the first Crysis games, a lot of gamers thought this game needed a lot of power and dropped money on some enthusiast hardware, and then got a console port. I know I did.

- Fix all multiplayer bugs. I played the multiplayer for the first time today, and really enjoyed it. I didn't run into any hackers, but I can understand the frustration of those who have.

Thats all I personally wish for. Will it come, don't know. But as fans of the game we can only hope. The Crysis series is definately one that deserves to push the limits on cutting edge computer hardware.

I do wish this game felt more open, and less straight forward. Sure you have "tactical options" but lets be honest, with an open world you can figure it out yourself, it's more fun that way. Also, where's the sandbox? No nukes or sweet explosions going on, and no sandbox to try and make them either, ugh. I still liked the game, it just felt to... scripted. It still looks good, although not nearly what it could be, but I can live. The story has definitely advanced though, and the ending is left with a cliffhanger for a 3rd game hopefully. I'm so confused, are Prophet and Alcatraz alive or dead? Nonetheless, I think Crysis 3 should have the open world back, and a storyline like none other. Graphics could be boosted, but I'm more of a storyline guy anyways, and if it has the sort of feel crysis 1 did I would surely buy it.
